"Can't understand the negative reviews. We had a lovely 5 nights here and ejoyed every minute. Location is really excellent . We honestly could not fault this hotel, it had everything we needed. We will be definitely going back."

"The Element was in a great location in Time square. There were a lot of things to do within walking distance. The staff was pretty nice. The breakfast was okay grab and go mostly. The room was clean and had decent space for a Hotel in New York (rooms are usually small here). I would book again. Just note If you're on a higher floor elevator can take a few minutes in the morning. "

"Please be aware that leaving your bags at the cloak costs you $5 per bag & no cash!!! This is a historical establishment & there are so many old charms all over the hotel. If you are into history, check out Lower Lobby before the gym. They have so many pictures from the past. It was fun. Some rooms are getting renovated & I “upgraded” to a newly renovated room. I didn’t request, but I got “city view” room & I could see Staples from the window. Also it was very noisy. I used earplugs every night. Great location right next to Penn station. "

"The hotel has been renovating and one of three elevators was used by the contractors during the daytime!. The elevator speed is pretty slow. My room is on 7th floor. The elevators are always full of people. We need to wait for at least 2 or 3 times of elevator stops. During the nighttime, it was difficult to get a good sleep because of the noisy vehicles using the road outside the hotel! The staffs and room are okay and acceptable. The location of the hotel is easy to walk to the shops nearby. Overall, I'll give the score 6 out of 10. "
