"It’s a clean place in a good location with zero frills. No coffee maker, no water bottles, no fridge in the room (which I needed for medical purposes), a broken television AND a broken phone line. The lights in the bathroom were flickering. Sent a repairman at midnight but nothing was repaired over my three night stay. "

Our room had multiple issues—the bathroom door was broken, the TV unit was damaged, and the internet connection was extremely unstable, making it difficult to stay connected. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of support from the staff. Despite reporting these problems, no one seemed willing to help or offer a proper solution. For a hotel in such a prime location and at this price point, basic maintenance, reliable Wi-Fi, and responsive customer service should be standard. Unfortunately, this stay fell far below expectations."

"The description of amenities is wrong. They had advertised social hour on their website which we found out upon arrival they had discontinued 6 years ago. The morning coffee is of poor quality and limited and has no value. The elevators do not work. You have to wait a long time to go up and down. A lot of time wasted waiting. The building is old. The outdated wall AC unit makes a lot of noise and did not work properly. It is definitely very inaccurate description on your website. "

"Stayed at the New Yorker Hotel and it was honestly not worth the price. The hallways are outdated and the “city view” room we were given was basically a corner wall with barely any view of MSG. You’re mainly paying for the location in the heart of NYC. What really ruined the experience was how we were treated regarding their smoking policy. I asked a worker if there was any balcony or smoking area available and was told no, to just smoke outside. Cool, no problem. The next morning at 9AM security knocked on our door claiming they smelled marijuana. We told them they had the wrong room. The security guard even explained that if someone was actually smoking in a room, their desk would get notified by the smoke detector system. He made it sound like they were generally searching for who was smoking — not that our room specifically triggered anything. Then the very next day we received a letter saying we were being charged a smoking fee anyway. I even tested the so-called “smoke detector” afterward and it clearly was not functioning, which makes the whole situation feel questionable and discriminatory. Overall, definitely not worth what they charge. Location is the only real positive."

"Room was small but fine. Elevators were extremely small and very noisy. It’s an old hotel, so it’s to be expected, but if you’re claustrophobic take the stairs."
