"We enjoyed our stay at Mercure Hotel Aachen. The room was clean and staff quickly responded to our request for extra pillows (we originally only had one each). All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good. Not much noise outside considering how busy the Christmas markets were, so we slept comfortably. "

"Lady on arrival v. helpful. Breakfast staff v. helpful as I have to eat gluten free. Very good wide choice for breakfast. Room plain, but quiet and had all the essentials. Lady on desk when I left couldn't have cared less - barely said good bye, No thank you or 'hope you enjoyed your stay'. Hardly looked up from desk!"

"No, no, no and one more time NO. Place looks amazing, yet the service requires much improvement. I wanted to have some sleep, yet guests of the room opposite to mine had a party in their room and hallway. I called reception to come and calm them down, yet I was ignored. Instead of having nice 8 hrs sleep I had 4 hrs and I missed my breakfast. Morning receptionist was very apologetic yet absolutely useless."
