Operating from a single passenger terminal, El Lencero Airport (JAL) isn't the biggest airport around. However, you should always arrive with ample time up your sleeve to check in your bags and pass through security. We wouldn't want you to miss your flight! Avoid rushing to your departure gate, or even worse, missing your flight, by arriving 1.5-2 hours prior to domestic flights. You should arrive 2-3 hours ahead if you're traveling internationally. This will give you time to check in bags, clear customs and security and make your way to your gate. It's also a good idea to check the arrival time recommendations of both your airline and departure airport.
