Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The hotel is in a good location, and there is a really nice walking trail right around the property.
The rooms are a bit dated and on the small side, but overall we enjoyed our stay.
Great property with even a private rainforest trail. Lots of maintenance effort to make this place a great home away from home. Room is perfect, feel like living in a forest.
The lodge was very quaint and had a beautiful walking trail. It was delightful to have a fireplace in our room after a damp day of hiking at the National park. The staff were lovely as well and the food at restaurant was delicious.
Beautifully maintained property. Large rooms and perfectly prepared. Don't miss the hot tub. A nice soak out in nature with all the soothing sounds.
The staff were all very welcoming and helpful! Going beyond the necessary. I stayed through a passing hurricane and they made certain i was well prepared for any potential problems and even prepared a meal in advance just in case, no charge.
I highly recommend the lodge and thankfull to all the folks there!
We enjoyed our stay here so much. The lodge is very close to valcano park, the food at the hotel is exceptional, plus the staff are very accommodating. It was a great stay!
The lodge was a fun step back in time. It had 70s/early 80s feel of a simpler time.
The the staff was great, the room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend for a night in Volcano park
This is a lovely lodge on beautiful property. We loved the vintage feel! Ate dinner at the restaurant, and both the food and service were good. Minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We had a very enjoyable stay!
Our room was awesome with an easy to use fireplace, a lovely view from our lanai. my husband temporarily missed having a tv but the fireplace chat and drink that replaced the tv time/chill time was a great! Bed was comfy, shower and bath well appointed. Small refrig to keep beverages and we had a great dinner at the on-site restaurant, If only we could have stayed longer!
A quiet spot located just a couple miles from Volcanoes National Park. We stayed 2 nights so we could see the park. The room and restaurant were very clean and staff were great
Front Staff and restaurant staff were kind and helpful. Plus in terms of the quality of the room it was great, nice secluded with heating amenities , hot bath tub outside surrounded by nature , lush green trees with birds chirping, insects singing. I mean great place to relax , rewind and onward journey . The restaurant food was great with nice ambience- lamb is a recommendation for dinner, Further this place is very near to Kilawea , we could rush to watch episode 52 eruption just in time .
Over night stay to visit the volcano. It is a 3 minute drive to the entrance of the park. We were able to go back to our room a couple times making it easy.
The property was very clean and well kept. Definitely recommend it
Nice hotel, close to Volcano National Park. Comfortable room, but fairly basic. Excellent, friendly staff and the food was excellent for dinner. Includes a free breakfast too. Had a hottub and a really nice hiking trail. Overall, great place to stay while visiting the park and would go back.
Our stay at the Lodge was perfect! From the beautiful room - we stayed in Ohia, to the hot tub, to the delicous food at breakfast and the restaurant. The Lodge was clean, close to the national park and in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend staying here.
