We love staying at these historic properties. This one is a gem for sure. The pub/brewery is overflowing with atmosphere. The only ding would be the shower/bath needed some work in our room I would definitely stay again

Staying at the Lord Nelson was a lovely introduction to Sydney and to Australia. Our international flight landed quite early and it was no problem to drop our luggage and go for an explore while we waited for our room. The area is very historic and a treat to walk around. There were a lot of stairs up to our third floor room, but we knew this ahead of time so we came prepared for it. Our room felt like a little retreat in the sky. We had a wonderful view from our dormer window and the inside room was light and airy. Food and drink at the Lord Nelson was wonderful. Thanks for a relaxing start to our visit to Australia.

Great location for those taking a cruise from Circular Quay. The restaurant was also very good so you did not have to walk back into town. The staff carried our luggage to the 3rd floor for us!
