"Although there seems to have been a miscommunication between Expedia and WaterWalk by Wyndham about the room type, the friendly and helpful staff at WaterWalk got us into the room we required. "The property was average to slightly above average. It is apparently going through some renovation at the time of our stay. The renovation might have been part of the issue I describe next. The initial impression of our room was above average but declined. The first time using the bathroom I noticed a bug crawling up the wall. I captured it and dispatched it quickly. It was a silverfish. I did not tell my wife as I felt it was a one-off situation. The next morning as we were about to leave my wife spotted a cockroach crawling along the carpet about a foot from the end of the bed. She dispatched it quickly while saying, "I am glad I did not see that last night"! I am too because we would have been searching for a new place to stay. We can tolerate other small things but not small bugs in our room. Again, it is unfortunate that we had the bugs because we could have rated the property better."

"The hotel has potential. However, the rooms and hallways appear worn and outdated. Overall cleanliness could be improved in those areas as well. There is no television in the bedroom of the one bedroom suite. Just one television in the living room area. The bathtub appears to be peeling, and if it’s been painted over multiple times rather than replaced. The lobby is the cleanest, most updated part of the hotel very welcoming and well maintained in comparison to the rest of the property. Staff was pleasant, but renovations and better upkeep would make the stay more pleasant. "

"The hotel staff lack of communication amongst each other almost ruined my trip. I paid for a very late check out and they kept harassing me asking when I will be checking out. Knocking on my door twice and at one point coming in unprovoked after not hearing a timely response. (I got up in less than a minute.) Stains were left on sheets, pillows, my bed was dirty. We complained they never came to clean it. If you have your do not disturb sign on your door, expect to be disturbed by the staff who doesn't communicate."
