"We enjoyed our experience here. The staff were helpful and nice. They went the extra mile to make us feel special for our stay. My only issue is that the state of the facility, specifically our room was below expectation for the price point of this resort. The rooms are quite dated. Our bathroom had a sewage smell and the room in general looked quite old and tired. I know this is an older and historic property, but it felt like there were updates that could have been made to keep the historic charm while improving the guest experience. The location and the facilities and things to do are abundant. Overall I enjoyed my stay, but would be more interested in returning if there are notable improvements made to the rooms to bring them closer to modern times. 7.5/10. "

"We were not told there was renovation on the property until after we booked and a deposit was taken out. That should have been made clear before booking. Also, after paid for the entire stay, we were informed that there was no hot water. Told it would be worked on which it was but it was not repaired so we suffered through cold showers our entire stay. Not even a refund or partial refund was offered. I would stay away from this property!! "

"Very clean and well maintained - both unit as well as the entire property. Excellent communication with the owner and made us feel very welcome and right at home. Others on the property we very friendly as well. While it was cool a couple of days we enjoyed getting out and walking a significant distance on the beach. Definitely would enjoy staying in the same unit again the next time we are on SSI. "
