my husband and I stayed 1 night it was wonderful. if ever we are passing thru that part of Kentucky again it is at the top of my list of places to stay. the couple that own and run the property were so kind. my husband is very particular about his coffee and what was served with the truly yummy breakfast he said was the best cup he has had this trip.
Mammoth cave state park is nearby. Property is beautifully decorated. With a gift shop on site. Breakfast was very good and they were able to provide gluten free options.
Everything was perfect, amazing and great. The food was so good. French toast casserole, phenomenal. It’s off the beaten path but not so far out you can’t get to town quick. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jim and Janelle were more than accommodating and wonderful hosts for our stay.
Jim and Janelle are great! Very accommodating and have a wonderful place to stay. We loved the decor and cleanliness, the homemade breakfast was awesome. Would definitely stay here again.
Awesome! Beautiful place, wonderfully decorated, with a historic charm. The service was great! Our hosts were so hospitable and the breakfast they made us was the best food we ate on the whole trip!!

Excellent beginning of a 3 week trip!
This B&B is so sweet! Even picturesque! The owners were very friendly & went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable. We would definitely stay there again if we head that direction.
The owners of this quaint B&B, Jim and Janelle, were very friendly, helpful and informative. The breakfast was awesome, served in a beautiful dining room. Just great in every way! Thanks
Beautiful home with wonderful host/hostess. They went above & beyond to make our stay special (coffee/tea/hot chocolate, little truffles/chocolates, & a “goody” bag…were waiting when we arrived) A wonderful home cooked breakfast was served before we left that morning. Can’t say enough about how beautiful everything was at this Inn….wish we had stayed more than 1 night!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The folks were friendly and accommodating, and the house is very neat. Please note that there isn't much for eateries within 20 minutes, so, if you're going to be checking in later in the afternoon, it would be a good idea to have dinner before you arrive (unless you don't mind spending another hour in the car!)
It's difficult to find a good place to stay near Mammoth Cave. This railroad inn is a good place. The owners breakfast, and room are all great. The inn has two bedrooms, and the other one was empty. The inn sits by a double RR track and the trains are noisy BUT no train came by all night. The bed's great. Decor is Victorian; there's a gift shop there focused on their high tea side business. Downsides: Rocky Hill is a tiny town with no amenities and not even anything worth looking at. The inn is old but not pretty to look at on the exterior. It does have a nice, long covered porch. We weren't told in advance (not that I noticed) that there's a no-alcohol rule at the inn. It's 20 minutes to the cave from there. I've been in many caves, and while Mammoth Cave is the world's longest, and the visitor center and staff are great, the cave itself is not very much worth seeing. There are many more-interesting caves in America. But if you need a nice place to stay, close to Mammoth Cave, this is it! Recommended.
My wife was quite pleased to spend her birthday weekend at Rocky Hill Inn. The decor was charming and quaint. Check-in was a breeze. The owners were very kind and took great care of us. Breakfast was delicious and filling. While the nearby railroad was hard to ignore, it was the only hiccup in an otherwise delightful time.
Jim and Janelle were so welcoming to their lovely corner of Kentucky cave country. The house is so beautiful, and the artificial flower bouquets are not to be missed!
The property is a quaint home with great accommodations. Southern hospitality abounds from the hosts from welcoming you as you arrive to seeing off upon your departure. Property is an easy drive to then many caves and caverns within South Central Kentucky.
