Extremely nice and helpful staff. I stayed on the 4th floor and it was very quiet ( no noise from the top floor bar or elevator as other travelers described). Perfect location, walkable to everything in U District.
Very nice hotel, all the staff were very kind and helpful. A nice addition is the coffee shop on the first floor and a rooftop restaurant and you can use a credit they give you at either location which was nice. Hotel is also very close to a light rail station which was very convenient
The room was great- very spacious! The only issue was only 1 small mirror in bathroom with ok lighting. There is lots of wall space to put a mirror in main area. Would help with getting ready!
Bed was very comfortable!
This place has a cool vibe. The rooftop bar/grill was great. The only real issue was the elevator that only worked about half the time. One morning we had to take the stairs down from the 12th floor. When we go to our room, TV and telephone were disconnected. The tech got the TV working, but no phone the entire stay.
The hotel has a wonderful art deco UW charm. It was comfortable, spacious and our room had a lovely view. We appreciated the convenience of its location in the U district.
The coffee shop (Poindexter's) opened late one day. University Street is about a block away and has 30-40 counter-service restaurants: Asian, Mexican, Indian, Mediterranean, pizza, ice cream, etc. A real university town experience.
Everything we needed plus excellent service. Mini-Fridges don't come with the room typically but are available if you have a need and make a request. Walked down University Way and ate dinner at Just Burgers. Delicious. There's a breakfast cafe downstairs to right of checkin if you need to leave quickly and get on the road. Bagels, bacon, egg, cheese etc. Valet parking was very quick. Everyone very polite. Definitely would stay again.
This hotel has the best staff. They are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are super clean. The lobby, the cafe, the upstairs bar, and the workout room are perfect. I highly recommend.
The property was fine… BUT no bathroom fan, no light in the closet, no drinking glasses are provided, just plastic cups. Our bathroom sink was not draining adequately.
The staff was very nice… the valet parking was excellent and it’s staff very professional!!
Very cool property. Staff was very friendly and personable. Definitely recommend the Mountaineering Club on the 16th floor - great views of the city and beyond.
The Hotel is such a great location for the UW! Great shops and food all in walking distance, too. The Pointdexter cafe that is part of the hotel has wonderful coffees and great healthy breakfast options that were so appreciated! The hotel itself is such a fun, quirky vibe and had a great view from our room to the water. Will stay again if visiting UW!

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
The staff at the hotel were very frustrating. My wife and I complained about the heating and the front desk employee said she’d send maintenance to fix the issue. Next day no one checked the heating. Then we spoke with a different employee and they said they only offer heating OR cold ac. And that it’s only one or the other and they decide which they can have on.
This is very deceptive because on the Expedia listing, it says the hotel has both so you would expect both to be available.
We also asked front desk for daily room cleaning but they only cleaned it once in the 4 nights we stayed. We were compensated with free parking for the night but it was so frustrating hearing empty promises from the workers. The hotel looks nice and the rooms are large but the staff really let this place fall short.
Save time and book somewhere else, Seattle is full of hotels with more competent staff.
