Dating back to the 1700s and built from beautiful handmade brick, this historic home combines timeless character with modern comfort, creating the perfect setting for family gatherings, countryside escapes, wellness retreats and corporate stays.

Whether you’re enjoying meals together, unwinding in the hot tub or exploring the surrounding grounds, the property provides a calm and welcoming environment away from everyday life.
For wellness groups, the spacious interiors and tranquil surroundings create an ideal setting for yoga sessions, mindfulness activities and restorative retreats. Underfloor heating provides year-round comfort, and a new ground-floor bedroom is currently being added as part of the ongoing refurbishment.

Set within three acres of private land, Sorbrose House offers space, privacy and beautiful views across the surrounding countryside. The gardens provide the perfect place to relax, enjoy a morning coffee or spend time with family and friends in a peaceful rural setting.
The outdoor summer house offers a quiet place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings throughout your stay.
Important Information
Sorbrose House is located within a peaceful residential area and is intended for guests seeking a relaxing stay.
To respect our neighbours and preserve the tranquil environment:
• No parties or events are permitted
• No stag groups or all male group bookings
• Outdoor music is not permitted at any time
• Guests are asked to keep noise to a minimum when outside, particularly during the evening
This helps ensure that Sorbrose House remains a wonderful countryside retreat for all guests to enjoy.

Existing Bookings
Please note that Sorbrose House now accommodates a maximum of 12 guests.
Any reservations made prior to 10th June 2026 will be honoured under the original property configuration and occupancy arrangements, which accommodated up to 20 guests.
All new reservations made on or after 10th June 2026 will be subject to the updated maximum occupancy of 12 guests and the bedroom layout detailed above
