"This home is spacious and perfectly positioned for beautiful ocean views from the kitchen, living room, dining area, and master bedroom. A large covered and open porch overlooks the backyard and the water beyond, with comfortable outdoor furnishings that invite you to relax wherever you sit.
Just down a short concrete path is a nice little pool that's great for cooling off while enjoying the ocean view. A bit further along the path, you'll find a striking walkway carved directly into the rock.
Inside, we especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen with all the appliances we needed. The personal touches were a nice surprise, including fresh limes and mangos picked from the trees on the property's lush grounds. There's plenty of counter space, a sizable dining table, and a large seating area in the living room. The ceiling fans are strong and kept every room comfortable. The newly built cottage has equally impressive views and all the standalone amenities you would want.
We spent hours enjoying the pool and the ocean. You can walk straight from the steps out to two long sandbars that keep you in comfortable chest- to waist-deep water, making for easy walks parallel to the shore. We also took the kayak out and loved the easy close-to-shore paddling.
If you stay here, we highly recommend Captain Sheldon at Exotic Excursions for a boat outing. He took us exactly where we wanted to go—collecting sea glass, sand dollars, and conch shells. He even brought us to a sandbar where we interacted with stingrays and played on swings right over the crystal-clear water. It was a fantastic experience.
As an added bonus, we were fortunate to meet the owners, Stephen and Jill. They were warm and engaging, and we really enjoyed our conversations with them. They were very respectful of our privacy—which we appreciated—but also easy to talk to, so we looked forward to seeing them.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay. We'd happily return to Tranquileville and would recommend the home to others. As always, working with Pam at Eleuthera Vacation Rentals was a pleasure—she's very responsive and knowledgeable about the island. Thanks, EVR!"
