Location is very convenient, it’s very clean, amazing home made breakfast, all topped off by an incredible host, Valerie, who makes the stay very personal and special providing us with lots of information, a phone and arranged cars for us. Valerie is an exceptionally attentive hostess. Location is convenient and quiet. Room was large, attractive and very clean (though with no outside-facing window - the one negative). Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, and they generously accommodated special diets. Highly recommend this riad.

Wonderful Riad, staff and breakfast! Loved it!

We loved the wonderful Riad. It's easy to reach for a transfer. And a easy walk to the big square; Djemaa El Fna. The beds of the room are amazing, the breakfast is al lot and every morning so tasty, the staff is wonderful. A one of a kind in the busy medina, when you enter this Riad you won't even notice the busy world around you. We really relaxed at this place. And has also the best views of the whole city!!

Excellent - it's as simple as that.

Excellent introduction, great personnel, cosy atmosphere, perfect location. Valerie even had a cellphone for us - with her number and some assorted taxi drivers already stored. But the most useful item was her handwritten "magic map" with a lot of great locations (and how to get there) readily marked. This happens when the owner goes the extra mile and tries to see the city from the tourist's perspective. Thank you for that, Valerie - it made a difference.

Best Riad in Marrakech

Perfect stay at Riad Cherrata. Valerie and her staff were simply amazing, it was the first Riad we stayed at in Marrakech, and after being in a few more around Morroco, we realized what a paradise that was. The place is very well located, 5-10 mins walk to Jema square, in a calmed neighborhood with no issues when walking back at night. Valerie gave us tips for absolutely everything, and even called the Tour providers as well as the other Riads, to ensure that everything was ok and to arrange pick-up times. The room was spacious, and super clean (every day), and the bed was very comfy. Valerie also gave us a cell phone (just for the stay) so that we could use it to call taxis or in case we needed anything from her. Her staff are so nice and sweet, always smiley, and waking up at any time needed to prepare us a delicious breakfast and some nice fresh orange juice and coffee. The second day we went to Essaouira to spend the whole day, we arrived at 00:30 at night to the Riad, and one of the ladies was waiting for us, worried and talking on the phone with Valerie, since they were thinking something had happened to us (so sweet), and then they were happy to see us being back safely. The terrace upstairs is super peaceful and very nice at night to lay down, relax and look at the stars or the amazing views of Marrakech. We also took a nice bath on the small pool in the middle of the Riad, which was excellent for an exhausting hot weather day in Marrakech. I recommend it for sure!

Best riad in Marrakech

Valerie the owner gave a very thourough introduction of The vity when we came; surroundings, how things work and gave us the best recommendations of places to visit, where to eat so we wouldn't end up sick nor hazzeled. She gave us a cellphone with her number and some taxi drivers that you could rely on. Valerie even arranged our next trip to the coast by buying us bus tickets, arranging a cab and calling to our next place making sure that all is OK. Riad Cherrata truly wanted us to have an amazing stay and a good picture of the city. They made it feel like a home, or even better. The roof top of the Riad has the best view over the city; you can see the Atlas mountains, the big mosque and medina. Breakfasts every morning is with all homemade products; jams, bread, fresh pressed juice, yoghurt and every day there a new sorts of pancake served. The riad and rooms are very clean and you get new handwashed towels every day even if you don't ask for it. The atmosphere that the crew builds up you can also feel has an impact on the guests. The guests are very polite and friendly - you can almost think they are handpicked by Valerie! The price of the Riad Cherrata and what you get does not stand in proportion since you get so much more than what I think you can expect from a place like this. I truly recommend it and will to family and friends. We've travelled a lot but NEVER ever met such a host like Valerie - not even close.

オーナーのホスピタリティに感動。宿泊する前から詳細なベッドのセッティングを聞いてくれ家族連れとしては非常にありがたかった。また、チェックインの際には手作りのMagic Mapを使用し観光スポットを紹介してくれたり、スリやぼったくり対策を丁寧に説明してくれました。値札のないお店が多いマラケシュでは「ここに行けば値段があるから参考にして」とか、「馬車の相場はこのぐらいだからそれ以上言われたら乗らないで」とかのアドバイスは非常に役に立ちました。Magic Mapやこれらの情報を手書きしてくれるので、滞在中はポケットに入れて持ち歩き都度見ていました。加えて、地元の携帯電話も無料で貸してもらえ重宝しました。海外携帯はモロッコで使用すると非常に高価みたいなのでありがたかったです。 立地は、旧市街にあり観光スポットまで徒歩圏内で、また旧市街地に住まれている地元の方々の生活も垣間見える非常に素晴らしいリヤドだと思います。

This beautiful riad is in the Médina (old town), easy walking distance to a miriad of restaurants, markets, palaces, and other sights. It is a little sanctuary within the bustle and excitement of Marrakech, and even has a rooftop lounge to relax, sun oneself, and view the city from the rooftops. Valerie, the host, went above and beyond – passing on so much local knowledge, and making sure we found our way around. We won’t hesitate to book at Riad Cherrata when we return to Marrakech.

A very special jewel.

My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights based a recommendation that it was good for female travellers and I could not agree more , we were excited but anxious as first timers to Marrakesh. . Valerie could not have been more hospitable. From booking, she made contact and offered help. She spent some time on arrival really explaining to first time Marrakesh visitors top tips in sights, getting around, taking taxis, and even gave us a phone in case we needed her or a taxi and a very useful ‘magic map’. Lovely Sedia is an amazing cook, her welcome tea and sweets to her pancakes and homemade jams were all delicious. ‘ I feel like a princess’ said my daughter. So did I. A very special place and Valeries’ tips and map meant we had a hassle free and terrific stay in this intoxicating city. Would unreservedly recommend this beautiful tranquil Riad.

Wonderful stay, you won’t be disappointed

Valerie and her guest services team were amazing! They went above and beyond what would be expected. Valerie provided us with thorough information on getting around Marrakech in a way that optimized our safety and fun. The bed was very comfortable and the Riad itself a quiet haven for restoration. Our laundry was able to be done same day, which was also hugely helpful. Breakfast was abundant and yummy.

De très bons conseils et explications de la part de Valerie lors de votre arrivée, afin d’etre autonome lors de votre séjour au centre de la médina. Le personnel est d’une gentillesse remarquable et toujours disponible pour ses hôtes. Fantstisk sted som må oppleves.

For et fantstisk vert, fra første stund jeg kom, visst Valerie sin vennlighet. Jeg følte meg hjemme med engang. Hun hadde tegnet et kart og visste meg hvordan jeg skulle navigerer rundt omkring. Jeg fikk et ekstra tlf med tlf-nr hennes og et par taxisjåfør som hun personale kjenner. Hun brukte over en halv time til å forklar det jeg trengte å vite om Marrakesh. Dette er ei dama som er opptatt med detaljer, rydde og renhold. Og dette gjenspeiler på eiendom. Rommet er rydde, renne og nyoppusset. Frokost var nydelig. Dette stede er gå avstand til det fleste sightseeing. Det er trygt og jeg kan love at man skal lete lenge for å finne services Valerie gir.

Very nice Riad situated in Medina with great staff

Excellent stay, the riad is very clean, comfortable and an excellent location to explore the medina. Valerie and the staff were very helpful and extremely knowledgable during my stay. They made me feel very at home and helped me with tour bookings, restaurant recommendations, airport pick ups etc. Moroccan style breakfast was also excellant. Could not recommend more highly. Es un pequeño Riad, pero con mucho encanto! A tener en cuenta, Valerie, la dueña, es Francesa, y te da muy buenos consejos para moverte por Marrakech! Valerie, Setlla y todo el equipo han hecho nuestra estancia super comoda!! Friendly, welcoming, perfect for female travelers.

My friend Nicola and I (2 women) travelled to Marrakech for 4 days. This Riad was perfectly setup for our every need/worry. Valerie and her team were very welcoming and ensured our stay went as smoothly as possible. The taxi pick up/drop off was all organised and on arrival we were welcomed with tea and snacks as she talked through the local amenities and directions. We were given a mobile (with credit) during our stay with useful numbers and her personal number for emergencies and queries (which was very useful when organising tours). The Riad/our room was beautiful and clean, with air-conditioning and useful things such as a safe, hairdryer, cotton buds etc. Last but not least, the breakfast was amazing... Homemade yoghurt and jams, local pastries and bread, pancakes, fruit and tea. I would definitely recommend this Riad and would without doubt stay here again if I go back :)

Underbar Riad med Fantastisk Service

Mycket bra Läge i gamla Medina, närheten av det stora torget, rent och fint med fantastisk service. Frukost var mycket bra. Fick låna en mobil med nummer till Taxi. Valerie var mycket hjälpsam och all personal var helt underbar.
