You’ll get your money’s worth because the room is clean, spacious ang beautiful. It’s walkable to the heritage sites and cafes. One of the best khao soi I had is just a few steps away.
My wife, son and I stayed here and felt very welcome by the friendly owners and their staff. Breakfast is fantastic! Location is great, a good variety of restaurants within walking distance. Rooms nice and clean. We look forward to staying again upon our return to Luang Prabang. Highly Recommend.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Room was extremely small and bathroom was terrible. After first night we requested a different room. Staff was very accommodating and we gladly paid for the upgrade to a little larger room with a decent bathroom and better WI-FI signal. The beds are very firm
Nice place, people and rooms

Definitely, stay away from this place. They stand next to your door at 7 in the morning and scream to each other The beds are very uncomfortable.
The guy who works there is extremely rude when I was checking out. He made me pay $5 for 3 small bottles of water. That are complementary at every other hotel. They made the whole experience very uncomfortable. I've been touring around asia for the last few months. And this is the only time i've ever had an experience like that
Nice hotel in a good location near the river. Lovely staff, great breakfast with generous portions. Rooms are nice and clean, good restaurants and coffee shop just a short walk as well as supermarket. Easy 15m stroll to the Main Street.
Loved this hotel owned by a very cute French couple. They've owned the hotel for under a year but have done a great job. From day 1 they helped us arrange a really fun stay in Luang Prabang. Could not have had such a good time without Rudy's hospitality and recommendations.
Staff were helpful, owners served breakfast each morning, which was AMAZING! I stayed on the second floor, room #5. Hotel was quiet because all the guests (except 1) made an effort to be quiet and respectful (walls are thin). It was a basic hotel, cute balconies, bathroom light didn’t always work and the bed was hard as a rock but otherwise I liked the place and would recommend.
My advices to those who wish to stay in this Cold River hotel better to check clearly with the hotel owner. A lot of restrictions with the hotel operator.
Very disappointed to stay in this hotel and my holiday mood is affected by them.
Room had many large bugs and geckos, including the biggest cockroach! When we told the staff, they just offered to kill the insects, and didn’t offer for us to switch rooms or any other services. The place feels run down. The shower is in the same area as the toilet with nothing separating them, so the toilet gets wet when you shower. One big perk is free drinking water.
Theres a few things like the mosquitoes are brutal around that area. Every Night, there's somebody sleeping in the lobby right by the main door. And One of the guys who works there is extremely rude. Not only does he give you dirty looks the whole time, but when it was time for me to check out. He rudely asked me if I drank his water.... yeah, the 2 little bottles of water. That every hotel puts out for you. He charged me $5 for 3 small bottles if its your water why is it in my room? Oh and did I mention they yell right next to your door at 7 in the morning its stupid I guess thats why I was the only one there all week
I would never recommend this place to anybody. And I would never go back
