Well it has to be said, the curry smell is overpowering. I like curry as much as the next guy but one shouldn't smell it in one's motel room. Price is right though.

Cheap, no-frills--if you're looking for a place to stay and aren't picky it works. My room was reasonably clean, A/C worked well but had a loud throb. They ran my card, but then wrote the whole number & the security code on the receipt. Person at desk claims it is confidential and no-one is allowed behind the desk. When I dropped off the key on the way out in the morning a pile of people's receipts with cc #'s were sitting there on the unattended desk if anyone wanted to grab them. This is really insecure--nobody else does this!

Do not go by the pictures of this hotel! It is dirty and kids toys everywhere. No vending machines. You cannot use the pool because it is full of junk. Barely any ice in a little counter machine. It stinks throughout. Would not recommend unless you are just looking for a bed to sleep on.

The hotel is very nice, and it’s quiet. It is an older hotel, but just as nice as any I have been in. There’s no breakfast or swimming pool available. The staff is very friendly and so nice to talk to.

Disliked: Amenities
The air conditioning did not work right ,it wasn't blowing enough air ,and my significant other , and I have bad ungs It was too hot in the room,we had to go out and buy a fan..I looked, and I noticed the side of the air conditioning was not properly sealed, there was an open space ,to where you could see the outside, and outside air could get in.There was no plug for the bath tub either. The beds were comfortable though .need to think about moving the mirror from behind the tv ,and replacing the toilet seat ,so it's not child size. The room was for the most part clean, and the person who checked us in,maybe the owner was polite, and nice.Need to take into considerarion though that there are many people such as my significant other ,and I who have lung issues like us,among other health issues,so you should make a point to ask this, because for my significant other and I, it was hard for us to climb all the stairs, you should of asked if we had any health issues, and put us on the first floor.

Do NOT believe any of the positive reviews you read about this “hotel.” They were not written by anyone who stayed there. They were either written by the owners or paid reviews. We unfortunately booked this late at night going home or I never would have stayed there. The smell as you walk in is overwhelming of curry and doesn’t get any better in the rooms. You can’t open the windows for relief. I slept with a shirt tied over my face all night. It was dirty with filth around the toilet, dusty old decor and just general unkempt. The bathroom sink didn’t drain. They advertised breakfast which was untrue; however, I never would have ate there had they had breakfast. Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car or under a bridge rather than here. Hopefully this will help another traveler and they will see this amongst the LIES that are posted about this dump

Our room was a generous size. There was even a table and chairs (in addition to king bed, two nightstands, recliner & long dresser) so we could eat comfortably and play a card game too. The decor reminded me of spending the night at my grandparents’ house. It’s certainly not the latest and greatest, but has a welcoming feel! :)

My son and I travel around the country going to college football games. We were looking at budget options near Madison and this fit the bill at a third of the cost of anything in Madison on a gameday weekend. 30 minute drive to get to the city wasn't bad at all. The other reviews on here and google made me a little nervous, especially when we were going to check in very late. Staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The property and room we stayed in was clean and well maintained. My only mild criticism is everything was very dated. Imagine a hotel just not getting a major renovation for 30 years. Furniture, lamps, carpet, etc definitely look like they've been in use in the rooms with no change since the 90's. Not a problem for us, but could see how it might be a turnoff for others. We've definitely paid much more and had much worse. I will absolutely come back the next time i need a place to stay in the area.
