I only dropped by for a night on my way somewhere else, but it was quite an interesting place. Very beautiful view of the lake! Staff were also vey busy but helpful and nice. Building looks, feels, and smells antique, but that is charming in its own way I suppose. Also, bit an odd trivia, but if you're into obscure vintage Japanese movies, apparently they filmed a 1962 comedy-drama film titled "Curry Rice" there. There's a signed certificate from Fuji Television Network in the lobby floor hallway.

I know that the new owners are working hard to get the resort back in good shape. My room was clean and the bedding was lovely with a comfortable mattress. Signs are still evident of updating needed . . windows were weather worn, carpeting could use replacing. Still the staff were all lovely and I very much enjoyed my stay. My family and I ate brunch and dinner in the restaurant, and the meals were very good - my eggs Benedict meal was a delicious treat.

The place was in a very cute area and the lake was beautiful. The room was clean, but as a warning to any guests thinking of staying in the summer months, there is no AC. Our room did not cool off at all overnight despite cooler evening temps as the windows are very small. Very pet friendly which was amazing but the warm temperature was tough on our dogs.

Great stay again

Another great stay this time in the resort building vs the cabins. Peaceful and quiet retreat. Had a great dinner and breakfast this time. We will be back in the future when we are passing through.

The room was quite dated and could use a cosmetic facelift but the beds are super comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. The food at the restaurant was really good too! If you’re looking for a rustic stay, this is the place.

Very nice location, staff were brilliant, rooms were clean but please be aware that there was no air conditioning in the room that seemed to be working so the room was very hot. Restaurant was fantastic, food was excellent so overall a good stay.
