"We just loved this hotel, such friendly, helpful welcoming staff, brilliant decor and lovely rooms, well appointed with everything you need. Only down point was we did think £30 was quite a lot for breakfast when all was needed was a bit of fruit and egg on toast with a cup of tea, but again well presented and all with cheerful helpful staff. Thoroughly recommend."

"Best deal on the Royal Mile. Sharing space with strangers isn’t for everyone, but all of us were respectful of each other’s privacy and need for sleep. Clean, great facilities, consistently friendly staff. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!"

"Staff were welcoming and friendly. I have stayed in this hotel on a previous occasion so I am aware it is a bit out of the centre of Edinburgh but the tram stop is a 5 minute walk and is 15 minutes tram ride into Edinburgh. I did find the hotel bedding and pillows to be quite low quality, but it is a more budget hotel. Apparently there was a lot of young people staying from Cheerleader competition and there was a lot of them running around. I had to call reception at midnight to complain about the noise. Very disappointed that Novotel no longer provides free parking for guests but now charges £15 per night. It is cheaper to book directly through the parking company "Your Parking Space"."
