"Best part of the stay was the pool and the room size which quite generous, everything else was either underwhelming or disappointing. Fine for a place to rest your head for a night or two, but would not look to return due a number of issues across the board."

"Great staff, location, food. Expedia has this classified as a three star hitel; WAY BETTER!!! We are staying in three star hotels throughout Australia and this one puts them all to shame. Way to go Novotel Cairns!!!!"

"Overall, I’m very happy with our room. The bedroom and bathroom are both very spacious. There was a slight damp smell when we first walked in, but no other unpleasant odours at all. The only issue was that we called housekeeping before heading out and no one answered. We then asked reception to pass on the message that we needed housekeeping, but when we came back, no one had attended the room. Other than that, we’re very happy with our stay. The Asian staff at reception were especially friendly and more than willing to have a chat with my wife, which we really appreciated."

"The pools and 2 restaurants made it a very convenient stay. It’s close to grocery stores so we could get some snacks. The resort dated, but clean and comfortable! The fire alarm went off in our room at 7am the morning we were leaving, so that got us out of there early. I’m sure a battery change would fix that but it was slightly annoying. The cafe restaurant doesn’t include “sauces” with meals, that meant we got no tomato sauce (ketchup) or tartar sauce with our fish and chips if we didn’t pay for it when we ordered. We didn’t know we had to state the obvious and we weren’t asked if we wanted it when we ordered, so we didn’t get any. When I asked for both she gave me tartar, but said I’d have to go back to the front to pay for ketchup. That was a bit silly, but overall the kids loved the pools and we had a good stay. The food was good. "
