This has so far been our favorite European stay! The rooms were so unique (we ended up staying in 2 different ones because we extended our stay). The staff were incredible and the breakfast was delicious. I would make a trip back to Slovenia just for this hotel
Such a quaint and charming hotel, and our huge family sized hotel room was perfect after being cramped in a small room on a boat. Our room was on the top floor and it had tall, vaulted ceilings and many windows, the bathroom is huge, shower, water pressure with perfect, ,and with the two extra twin beds created a lot more space. We did not need the extra beds, but certainly enjoyed the king size comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and two nights in a row we were tired of eating out, and they brought the dinners and wine to our room to enjoy on the coffee table and comfy chairs. The room has a smart TV so we were able to watch Netflix lol (by this point on our vacation, we had gone out to dinner many, many times and just needed a break). The breakfast buffet was large and perfect for our tastes… It had yogurt, berries, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, all kinds of fixings for the yogurt, breads, and I’m sure a lot more that I overlooked. They will also cook to order other kinds of eggs, My husband really enjoyed the cappuccino and macchiato every morning that they made fresh. I enjoy teas and they had a good selection of herbal and caffeinated teas. I definitely recommend eating at the hotel for dinner at least once because it was delicious! And they have a pretty good wine selection. As with many hotels, there are no elevators, but that was not a problem for us even being on the third floor. I would highly recommend this hotel and definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Hotel Julian Alps from Wednesday 28 Jan to Friday 30 Jan and had a fantastic experience.
The hotel is very clean, calm, and relaxed, with genuinely friendly and welcoming staff. The food was excellent — the cooked breakfast has a huge selection, and the absolute highlight is the House Speciality eggs, which are outstanding.
Our room was a good size, comfortable, and well maintained.
The surrounding Alpine scenery is beautiful, and the location is perfect: only a 3-minute drive to Lake Bled, but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxed stay with great food and easy access to Bled.
Beautiful location, lovely staff and delicious breakfast. You can have a nice dinner there too or you will have to go to Bled. The wellness was closed during our stay
You can walk to the lake or take the bus.
Wonderful hotel near Lake Bled, opened in June 2025. Serves amazing breakfast with plenty of choices of the dish. The restaurant serves Michelin level dishes at a reasonable price and ask the knowledgable staff about the wine, they serve great Slovenian wines both by the glass and by the bottle. Staff were friendly and always very helpful.
The first room we were given was right off reception which was unacceptable but we were given an alternative room with no issue. The food served in the restaurant is fabulous.

Exceptional experience! The staff is very attentive to every detail and want to make your stay a 5 Star. The chef prepared meals with outstanding blend of tastes, presented eloquently and provided a personal explanation of the courses. Best flavorful meal with rolling hills and old town historic setting. Five Star!!! We also rode e bikes for 60k and found the rides perfect for this activity and safe. Perfect location to hop on and ride along the river to other towns. Perfect location to access Lake Bled with minutes to the city center. Exceptional property. Enormous amount of heart went into developing this property and it shows with an exception 5 star from room, staff, food, amenities. Definitely would stay again!
This is a recently opened boutique hotel nestled in the farms of the Julian alps. It is scenic and upscale with every attention to detail in the furnishings and meals. We rented e-bikes for a 72 km trek between lake bled and lake bohinj and have a 5 course dinner to follow from the set menu with three entree choices-we chose veal trout and steak. Hospitality was so awesome they even helped up pay our parking ticket! Nina and Blas at the front desk and serving breakfast took care of just about everything. The family room was awesome for us four. It’s a little hike to Bled ((30 minutes by foot) which was the only downside but we were in a bucolic farmland only to awaken to church bells and birdsong. This was a very special experience I would highly recommend to anyone need of a getaway.
Only 3 months old, everything was new, modern and clean. But the service and meals were exceptional. Full breakfast with creative list of eggs Benedict style options including a local one. The 3 course dinners also included local fare and were excellent. Also full bar with local made schnapps and extensive list of fantastic Slovenian wines. The service was also very efficient, relaxed and friendly so that we could engage the staff in conversation. The setting is a beautiful green farm village next to the local church and a bell tower that pealed throughout the day )but not all night). Hotel is in Sgornje Gorje, a short hike downhill to Lake Bled but far from the crowds around the lake. We were able to hike down to and around Lake Bled and up to the castle and back up to hotel. The area is green, hilly, surrounded by the alps and the sounds of active farms. Very picturesque.
The hotel is extremely clean and has been built to a very high standard throughout the rooms and public areas including the outdoor seating area, Reception and the restaurant.
There is free private car park for up to approx 10 cars, including an EV charging bay.
Very friendly staff, who speak perfect English, who were all very helpful.
The location is in a small residential village with nothing around such as restaurants/bars etc, so unless you eat at the hotel, the nearest place is Bled to get something to eat or have drinks, which is either approx 30 minute walk along the country lanes or 10 minute drive, but be wary if visiting Bled in a car that you cannot park without it costing at least €6 for as little as 1 hour.
Kransjka Gora, one of the Ski Resorts, is approx a 40 minute drive, Bonhinj likewise, so if Ski’ing, you are best hiring a car, as the buses are not overly frequent given it’s such a remote location.
There is a small supermarket just up the road from the hotel which is handy.
The only downside to the location I found was that it is near to a couple of local churches, which have the traditional church bells that go off every hour and every 15 minutes in between.
The bells are extremely loud and quite annoying when you are trying to get some sleep. The hotel have recognised this though and provided a little plaque explaining its part of the Slovenian culture but recognise guests need a good nights sleep and provide ear plugs in the room.
Stayed three nights in June in one of the suites with a balcony. Beautiful property in the high farmlands in the Julian Alps. Recently converted (in May? of 2025) a farm and farmhouse into an awesome hotel with 13 rooms in two different buildings. The hotel owners definitely didn’t cut corners - buildings, grounds, kitchen, decorations, furniture, etc. Room amenities were exquisite.
Staff was super friendly and patient.
Great breakfast each morning - combination of buffet and eggs/etc a la carte.
We had dinner one night. The dinners during our stay were a limited prix fixe menu of three choices - fish (trout), venison (deer) and beef medallions. I had the beef and it was delicious. My wife asked if she could order off menu for a vegetarian dish, which they happily accommodated. It was also delicious. Good wine selection.
Our suite room included a sauna in the bathroom, which was a wonderful treat.
Overall great stay - and I’m a hard grader.
We’ll definitely be back.
A beautiful country setting and a surprisingly modern hotel contained in a traditional facade. This is a small operation so don't be surprised to find the man who checked you in and carried your bag also taking your dinner order. That isn't a criticism, just a reality in a boutique hotel with 20 something rooms.
Dinner menu varies by the day and is accompanied by a decent wine list. Breakfast is included and can be the comprehensive buffet or a la carte with several custom made offerings.
I would stay there again but a small warning that applies to many European hotels. No elevator. The staff will deliver your bag but you do need to climb stairs.
Nice people and a welcoming ambiance. As a traveler of some 40 plus countries, I have this on my repeat list.
What an exquisite hotel! Highly recommended!! Everything is offered with care and pride. The rooms are new, beautiful, welcoming (exquisite smell from the beautiful wood floors), and very comfortable. Lots of charming details. It’s like a home away from home. The breakfast buffet is delightful and served with love and appreciation. Quick access to Lake Bled and surroundings, you can rent e-bikes at the hotel. We spent two nights and will be back! ❤️
Gorgeous suite, great views, fabulous dinner both nights and delicious breakfast.
Staff made us feel very welcome.
We experienced both sunshine and snow and were glad to make use of the sauna in our room! Would highly recommend.
Very comfortable beds, breakfast fantastic. Very clean, has everything you need, staff very friendly. Dinner options very limited and pricey so went out , church bells very noisy and every 15 mins. Views beautiful and nice walks around
