"What a great little cottage with tons of character. A really good conversion and fit out, tastefully done and to a high quality. Everything you could ask for is here and the owners have thought of everything you might need plus many extra touches and treats. Super quiet location, in walking distance of various shops, pubs etc, loads of walking options for our dog too. Plenty of recommendations from the owner for things to do and many in easy driving distances. Nice area to be in and a very relaxing break for us."

"The house was one of the most well equipped that we have stayed in. Lots of books and games, huge television, really comfortable beds, and lots of cutlery etc. Quiet location and lovely neighbours - one of which helped us change our wheel after a flat tyre ."

"Well thought out cottage design very well presented but testing for size - just an extra 5% of space would yielded 20% increase in convenience and enjoyment. Hosts and neighbours are excellent. Parking is unusual but workable. As a couple (one Aussie and one Aussie born in Yorkshire) we really enjoyed our time at this cottage and would highly recommend it. Walk to village is 10 minutes and huge number of attractions within 40 mins."

"Lovely little cottage. We booked here as it was close to Cannon Hall Farm, Hall and gardens, which was the main purpose of our visit -10mins drive up the road! We travelled over 4 hours to get there.Parked on the road, small driveway to other properties you could probably stop outside to unpack if needed but we walked up from the road a few metres.We had all we needed for our stay - pots, pans utensils, towels, toilet rolls, washing up liquid etc. after reading the reviews I took some extra little bits but didn’t need them.The cottage keeps the heat in and was definitely warm enough - was the last week of August. I would take some slippers as the floor is cold. Pillows were nice and soft. Beds were comfy enough, I had my two daughters aged 11 & 14 with me so the youngest shared with me.We went for a walk each evening, round the local woods and up the hill to watch the sunset from a very well positioned bench.Plenty of public footpaths to explore.There’s a local shop/convenience store but Tesco express is a few minutes drive away.We also visited Castleton- a scenic, (sometimes scary) drive across the Peak District about an hour. Then Meadowhall shopping centre, Sheffield, on our way home. Our only issue during our stay was that the WiFi wasn’t working. It had been organised for BT to visit The Friday morning (they turned up Saturday) but couldn’t be fixed. We had plenty of data on our phones but meant we couldn’t have the TV on as it needed internet to use. But I had my book and my daughters brought things to do so didn’t matter too much for our 3 nights there.Thankyou for a lovely break away"
