The motel itself is nice, but it is surrounded by homeless people with tent just across the motel. It definitely feel a bit scary. The staffs are very nice.

Felt like an old trucker hotel. Run down but ok. And expected for what I paid. The only thing and biggest thing. Was the bums(homeless) all round the property and town. Seen them shooting up. And doing drugs personally. Didn’t feel safe around the property.

We had a nice stay at the Thunderbird Motel. The location was really convenient and close to lots of amenities, restaurants, and things to do. The Aquatic Centre was especially close by and was a lot of fun for the family! The room was clean enough for our stay, although I do think it could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly. That being said, the motel is located in an area with quite a bit of walking traffic, so that’s something to keep in mind. Overall, the location was great, with plenty of restaurants and amenities nearby, and it was a convenient place to stay while exploring the area and the other towns!

The location was convenient and at the low end of the price scale, but it showed in being a fairly tired facility. Some maintenance is needed, for example, a soft step on the stairs, a leaking sink that has affected the baseboard in room 60, and a very weakly cooling fridge. The room was generally clean, but this did not seem to fully extend to the floor. The room was quiet through the night, which was much appreciated.

There is little to no sound proofing between suites. Actual room was clean and there were lots of pillows. There were other guests smoking right outside our door so that was very unpleasant. Next time I book a hotel I need to remember “you get what you pay for”… Typically, we would stay at a chain hotel but due to short notice for this trip we were unable to do that. The owners of this motel have made some surface repairs to this place, but some sound proofing between units needs to be done.

The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. The air conditioning worked well, but there was a slight odor. The hotel is a bit dated, though the location is convenient for getting around. One downside is that there are quite a few homeless people in the surrounding area.

This is not the stay we were expecting from the photos, which are clearly edited. The diner is long closed and the rooms are shabby with peeling ceilings and broken tubs. The neighborhood is a tent city with droves of unhoused persons in various states of intoxication. The location was handy for getting around and the tv channels were excellent. Lots of parking was available.
