"Was nice hotel I loved clean and free drinks "

"Had an amazing stay at this resort. Everybody was professional and friendly. My only small problem is the food, it was good but a bit underwhelming. Even with that small issue, it still makes me want to stay on another of their locations. "

"Our room and room location were awesome, overlooking the interior waterway. Property is absolutely beautiful. Wildlife everywhere, lots to explore, loaded with pools and activities, and the beach area was breathtaking. My son had a wedding there and you couldnt dream of a prettier backdrop. Just a few (minor) complaints that keep it from being a 5 star resort, in my opinion. 1) the room fridge was not adequate for cold drinks... beer, sodas, water. It just never seemed to get anything cold. 2) no privacy in the bathroom due to the louvered door. Every sound and scent was open to the entire room. 3) absolutely NO control over the water temp in the shower. From comfortable to scalding hot, to ice cold with absolutely no warning, and no consistency. Other than those few, very fixable issues, we LOVED the resort. We WILL be back. Our first all-inclusive experience and loved every minute of it. Thank you to the Occidental staff for making our stay, our sons wedding, and our son and daughter-in-law's gender reveal such an amazing and memorable experience. "

"From the Location to the commons areas this is a 5star hotel, staff, food, amenities, cleanliness, restaurants, the beach, kids water park…. Everything was amazing fabulous and I can continue for 2 pages about how everything is perfect in this resort…Thank you All the staff and people that contributed to make this vacations into memorable time. We will be back and will share our experience we all our families and friends. "

"Beach was amazing. Resort was very modern and beautiful. Food was good (not spectacular) and staff were friendly and helpful. One downside was the "butler" experience. 2 butlers were assigned to us and neither one even tried to meet us during our week. One wanted to"say hello" on our last day, I assume to collect a tip for sending a Whattsapp message each day to simply say she was there. Also, the adult only pool area was always full of ants. I never saw anyone hosing the spilled sugary drinks from the pool deck at any point during the week and I would use bottles water to soak the area around my chairs to deter the ants. There was also black mold in the grout lines of the pool and I never saw anyone clean the pool all week which makes me suspect deficiencies in other areas of cleaning. Entertainment was ok. The best entertainment was the live band that plays for short periods in the main square after the theatre shows. Wish there was more of that. For the price I expected a bit higher level experience but if you are a beach person you will not be disappointed."

"Overall review: Staff kept and maintained the property very well. There were two restaurants that we enjoyed. The steak and international restaurants were the better choice. The buffet for breakfast was good. The quality of food at the dinner buffet was below average. The other restaurants will spoil your trip. The club played music all night til 2:00. If you’re on that side of the hotel, expect to hear it all night it was pretty annoying. This is a family resort and would expect them to have lowered the music and accommodate the people sleeping. The waterslides were fun for the kids. The staff did not clean the seaweed at the beach This is a four star hotel but I would’ve given it 3+ "
