"A friendly and helpful welcome to the Hotel and soon booked into our room and explained where to park our vehicle once we had unloaded. The hotel has a very traditional feel downstairs, charming. The corridors and the rooms themselves were decorated in a very dark scheme, which even with the lights on was a little difficult to always see well. "We could not get Wi-fi in our room, we requested to try another room but we were told there wasn’t one available, the receptionist advised she would contact the manager but we heard no more after that. We were also charged for using the pool and gym which frankly we declined as it was incredibly disappointing for the 10€ per person, when asked to refund the amount she took our card details and personal details on a scrap of paper and said she would refund later that day, we found this...

"Excellent area & facilities. Unfortunately it was cold & the radiators in our room didn’t work - it was obvious they needed servicing. The restaurant food was very good but our steak order was taken by an unpleasant man. Breakfast was good but with offhand service from a different man. Never felt valued guests. "

"A really lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable. Check in time a little restricted as we didn’t really have time to make use of the lovely looking pool before dinner which was also quite strict with timings, I do totally understand why though as the dinner was fabulous!"

"The check in staff were amazing, but when we went to the restaurant it all went down hill 100mph, the staff ignored us especially the self proclaimed sommelier, he needs a rocket, even with eye contact he completely chose to not see.....the food wasnt any better, gluggy potatoes full of cheese, dry beoff..no water as asked for when we finally were asked until we asked again later, poured our own wine, and many tables were in the same predicament.. mattress was terrible, but the toom otherwise...
