Got rained out of my camping spot in nearby Mesa Verde by a major thunderstorm and found this hotel on short notice. Inexpensive but the room was clean and the property felt safe. Very close to local dining and drinking options as well.
The handicap rooms are fabulous! Staff are friendly and the place was very clean! The breakfast was as expected! It was close to lots of stores , park, and Mesa Verde!
Very nice and updated rooms with tiled shower and nice countertops. Good condition. Big TV. Comfortable bed. Room was extremely clean. Safe location. Very family friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
Turquoise Inn and Suites continues to improve, and is our first choice when visiting the Cortez area. This time, we enjoyed a comfortable, new king size mattress. Furnishings were new as well. Staff is super helpful, just ask for anything you need.
The outside of this building looks a little rough, and we were a little worried with the first impression. But once we got to our room, it was clean and spacious. The toilet did run the whole stay, but it wasn't ever a problem.
Rooms and property were basically clean and the pricing is right. Disappointed with the continental breakfast as previously this was a Best Western with a full excellent breakfast.
We have been going to this property for years. It is being completely refurbished. Our suite was freshly painted, all new furniture, lighting, wall art, and wet bar. HVAC kept room comfortable and provided steady, pleasant white noise. It is a smoker friendly property (not all rooms). Looking forward to staying again.
Third stay at this property in September 2026. The property is in transition, in a good way. Appear to be phased room improvements. 2nd flr suite Labor Day weekend was fully renovated, painted like yesterday! All new furniture, mattress+coverings, furniture, wall art. quiet HVAC. Stayed again 9/20.
I liked the hard floors verses carpeting, as carpets can be filthy if not well maintained. Unfortunately, it was very rainy when I was there, and there were not mats at the door inside, so it was impossible to not track mud onto the floor. You had to get out of your shoes immediately due to this. Generally the room was clean.
The bed and pillows were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was average hotel breakfast food. The staff managing the desk upon check in was less than helpful and although we reserved two rooms I had to argue for the second room. One of the rooms given to us had not been cleaned (beds were not made, there were no towels in the bathroom, and there was still trash in the room).

Nice staff, very convenient location but a very tired and worn down property. Not the best Best Western.
Check in was quick. Parking lot was in bad shape with junk around the the trash cans. Entry sidewalks dirty. Inside the room, the floor was unmopped and the bathtub drain hadn't been cleaned. No roller for toilet paper holder.
Breakfast was below par for a hotel breakfast, the stairs were falling apart and both pools were broken and didn’t even have water in them. Room was clean and was fine for the night but overall not great

We checked in early and Shamal was working at the counter. She was so present and helpful to us. She upgraded us because they only had us down for one bed, but we needed two and also the pool was out of service, so she put us in a suite. Very helpful.
Older motel, room was clean. Concerned when booked because when I brought up the address to go there it said permanently closed - called the number on the website and it just kept ringing and ringing. Asked our waiter at a nearby restaurant about the motel he said it just went under new management. They need to update their online information - I would have told them that but when we got there to check in had to call a phone number listed at the desk and wait for someone to come. The motel is older but I will say the room was very clean. The breakfast was cold cereals, juice, waffles. The only toiletries in my room were 2 small bars of soap. Friends room had shampoo, conditioner and soap -- no one at the desk again for me to get shampoo. The advertised pool was closed. For the price for one night the room was clean, a/c worked - small refrigerator with freezer area did not get cold enough to refreeze my ice packs.

Terrible environment. My wife wouldn't even get out of our vehicle. However, owner (?) gave me a suite after I was going to leave and it was pretty good lodging.

The room was clean - breakfast wasn’t much.
Weird person spent night in car next door all night smoking something some kind of cigarettes! Didn’t feel very safe with that outside.

This old Best Western is being remodeled and has great potential being located on Main Street. The management needs to do a better job of training their staff. For example, the front desk worker should be able to answer the question about weekly and monthly rates that are advertised on the [under repairs] marquee. No pool yet. Comfortable beds, linens and good TV.
