Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean, although their pending refurbishment are needed as some fixtures are becoming aged. The general quality however was very good. The breakfast offers a large range and is all delicious. Definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful hotel, excellent location in the center heart of the city, a walk away from everything you need to do and see. One problem is the NO A/C. It is not customary to have AC in hotel rooms in Scandinavia but, we were just at the beginning of the Hot Season and a portable fan given to us by the hotel did the job. Try to avoid Scandinavia and especially Europe in July & August as AC is not as common as in the US.

Everything very good, There was only an issue with a power outlet next to the bed: I used it for my night oxygen machine, but discovered the hard way that with switching off the bed-lights, you also switch of this outlet…… The staff was not aware of this and promised to contact the technical staff. (My machine has a emergency battery, so I was able to make it through the night)

Our second stay at the Palace but this time we had a room at the back of the hotel. If you are offered, take the option at check in to upgrade - it is worth the DKK100 (About £12) for the night to a room at the front. The Palace is an old, historic hotel furnished to a very high standard. Scandic hotels are always unique and different and the location of this one on Radhuspladsen is extra-ordinary and worth paying the extra for. 30m from the Metro, 5 mins walk from the Tivoli and lots of great restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. There isn't anything by way of amenities. No hotel bar, and they've done away with room service since we were there last 2 years ago. The hotel is home to Restaurant CAPA, which is Fine Dining - Go for the set 3 course with paired wines for DKK800 (About £100) . But there's everything you could need within a few minutes - food, street food, bars, cafe's and a Netto just at the corner. Radhuspladsen is quite a space but I am glad that we left just before the Gadefest (Street Festival). They were doing the soundchecks and it wasn't looking promising for old fogies like us ! You'll come to love the clock. A unique chime from 0800 to 0000 on the quarter hour. The Palace is a great hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and all speak perfect English, which is nice, but do try to make the effort just to say Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening in Danish - they seemed to appreciate it !
