"2008号室のオーシャンビューのお部屋に泊まりました。 眺めが良く、ちょうど河津桜が咲いていました。 チェックインはスマホで完了し、暗証番号でお部屋に入ることができ、わかりやすかったです。 周辺は特にお店もないので、事前の買い出しが不可欠です。 赤ちゃん連れだったのですが、ダブルサイズのベッドで添い寝ができました。ただし、ベッドの間は隙間があるので、枕でギャップを埋めました。 備え付けの有料コーヒーが特に美味しかったです。"

"Stay was amazing ! Mr Fukushima was so kind - he helped us with discounted lift tickets, picked us up from the train station and took us grocery shopping. Location was right at the Iwatake gondola. Please note the unit is in traditional Japanese style - sleeping on the floor with Japanese pillows (very different to western pillows). Highly recommend !"

I would have thought some level of quality control helped justify hotels.com's commission. "I recently stayed at Nikko Style. Check-in was smooth, as an English-speaking staff member was available. The room was spacious, the TV was easy to connect to my laptop, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a slight moldy smell, but I relaxed in the tub, which was quite deep and low (Western-style), for longer than planned because it was so nice. I slept very well. It was quiet and peaceful. The entire hotel is non-smoking, which is perfect. The breakfast buffet is somewhat unique. You choose a main entrée, and the other items are supplementary. I found the food very well presented and delicious. I wanted a luxurious experience at a reasonable price, and I felt I achieved it here!"
