Traveled over 5 hours just to fine out the reservation I made 2 days prior had a double room booked and upon arrival was told they did have a room but the air conditioning broke. They said we could have the room still if we wanted but it had no AC. We ended up with no hotel for the night.

I did not realize there was no elevator in this hotel. We placed on the third floor. We are in our late 60s and thankfully can handle the stairs plus our luggage but I wanna make sure other travelers are aware of this because it would be difficult for many people. The breakfast was adequate. The coffee was good and available 24 hours a day. The room was very nice and so was the bathroom which we were told was newly renovated. The beds were comfortable. The linens were clean. The carpet clean.The TV size was good and we enjoyed the Paramount+ channel. The staff was very friendly at the front desk each time we came in and out.

I believe this used to be an older Ramada Inn? Recently totally gutted and redone as a Days Inn. Although it was an older place, everything inside was totally new. 3 story property but no elevator. Price was excellent & since it was extremely clean, we would stay there again. Good location about 10 minutes from 6 Flags. Also very close to naval base, so place was sold out the nights we were there.

Overall the building is kept up and clean inside and out ,rooms are clean and neat , few stains and scratches here and there. Tubs can use a little resurfacing and something to keep the stench away ,regular cleaning of the ac units and filter.Other than that staff are nice and courteous, breakfast set up was nice and clean, and few choices of dining and shopping is not too far from the hotel . I would recommend it

Please make sure if you booked this property you have been there before and like the property. The pictures online are definitely not current pictures of the property. We were shocked when we got there. I remember my nineteen year old saying " We must be at the wrong property and I was praying that we were at the wrong location. It looked like one of those motel you see in a movie thriller on a back road of route 66. The inside was no better. The gentleman at the front desk had most of his teeth missing. Now we never got a chance to see the room when we got there it was almost 12 noon, and he was telling us that they couldn't show us a room because no one had checked out . I asked when we would be able to see the room and he said the guest had until 3pm to check out, so when can the new guest check-in? Right then and there I knew we would not be staying. I ask to speak to the manager who was not at work just the receptionist. l eventually leave because the employee at the front couldn't make a change...we wanted to go to another property. We reach out to Expedia and explained the situation and they tried to have the property refund even part of the money but the property would not answer Expedia. In the end when they finally reach him, he refuse to sign off so we could get back something. I will say this it would have been nice but I was willing to lose my $529.88 rather than stay somewhere that have deceptive photos online and refuse to show us the rooms before we check in.
