Stunning location directly next to castle ruins. Quaint town with cobbled streets. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Old City Bergamo roads a bit tight but nothing unmanageable and when we encountered an unexpected road closure, the hotel staff stayed on the line guiding us through the detour. Main Restaurant was closed, but we had lovely cocktails and snacks in the beautiful garden. Hotel recommended their sister restaurant for dinner - Bar Pizzeria Ristorante. We were seated on the lowest outdoor garden level overlooking the spectacular plains and mountain villas. Tables are under a beautiful arbor and although we only had their oven baked pizzas, they were absolutely delicious! Breakfast was in the hotel, again, great food and service. I highly recommend this quaint location and hope to be back to visit again.

Spotless, quiet, and magical. I felt comfortable and safe as a single traveler. It was a little difficult to get to if you have mobility issues and be aware it is all stairs if you have large luggage. Otherwise it was a beautiful place and the staff was very kind. Breakfast was delicious!

The staff were incredibly helpful, attentive and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Similarly, the experience we had at their restaurant, the Cucina was Michelin star like. Superior service, great food and wine! The room was large, very good bed and lovely bathroom. I would go back for sure.

We are 4 old school chums, thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, staff were so helpful and friendly, breakfast was a treat, the main restaurant created the most delicious food. We are sad to leave after a super week's pampering. Outdoors had wonderful spaces to sit and view Bergamo below and Milan in the distance, plus the beautiful surrounding countryside and hills

This was an amazing hotel. Getting there is a little tricky - best to have a small car. They have a parking garage that is worth using. Breakfast is amazing. Views are incredible. We booked a walking tour in old town through Viator and it was well worth it as he took us to views and site we never would have seen.

Perfect stay

An exceptional hotel, the all-round experience could not be faulted. All of the staff were incredible, they couldn’t have been more accommodating throughout our stay. Arriving late on the first night, having not eaten, we were presented with a great array of snacks to go with our drinks from the bar, the perfect welcome and it set the tone. Breakfast service was extremely efficient, great options, everything delicious. Late night drinks (local) by the roaring fire were a treat. It was a wrench to leave and we hope to return soon.

This was a fabulous hotel to spend 3 nights in Bergamo. It’s right at the top above the old town and not the easiest to get to but well worth the effort. The views were amazing. Room was clean and comfortable. The only gripe was the air conditioning didn’t work very well so it was a bit hot at night. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. We ate at the restaurant one evening and enjoyed a lovely meal in a great garden setting. Amazing wine list! The funicular down to the old town was only a five minute walk. It’s a shame there was no swimming pool but you can’t have everything! All in all not the cheapest hotel to stay in Bergamo but possibly the nicest. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again. Can highly recommend it.

Well located and easy to get to from Bergamo airport. Near historic Citta Alta and near funicular transportation of Citta Alta. Rooms are clean and cozy, view from grounds is amazing and on a clear day you can see all the way to Milan buildings. Nice area with many restaurants and shops. Hotel staffed accommodated us when we arrive late in the night around 1am. Definitely recommend and would definitely return.
