We stayed 3 days in balcony room. Extra large room with a couch, bonus. A chance to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by. There were street works going on but couldn’t hear them at all inside. Everything was very clean, great bed, large bathroom, good wifi and blackout curtains. Staff friendly, chatty and helpful. I like the fact that it is a quiet place to stay and not having to walk forever to get to the room. Balcony rooms are $100 plus but it was exactly what we wanted. We will be staying there again.
Getaway after COVID-19
suite au coronavirus nous avons voulu annuler ou reporter notre sejour cela etait impossible . à ce jour nous avons eu aucune réponse
Tres mecontente .
The lobby and breakfast room were beautiful, spacious, with comfortable seating. The staff was very helpful, friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The only thing I did not like was the miniscule room, more like a glorified closet, sold as a double room. Everything in it was bare bones, one chair, hardly enough space to turn around. This room had two twin beds, it would have been barely big enough for one twin bed. We had to put one suitcase into the bathroom. There was extensive construction in the area, the cab could only get within one block of the hotel. There is very limited dining in the area. But for the price it was a good deal.
The location was great and construction noise didnt bother me as i wake up early. The room was cleaned well but the first thing I saw when entering the room was a stained duvet which immediately makes it feel unclean. Even after saying its my first stay i wasnt told anything except the internet code, knowing where the elevators are and what time food is available would have been good. All staff i encountered were very friendly.

Great location. Ideal if visiting Auckland for a show at Civic or Town Hall. Budget accommodation but the balcony & corporate rooms were comfortable and had plenty of room.
You strictly get what you pay for - no luxury - not even the luxury of room . Couldn’t put suitcase on floor to access content and actually move around room . Hair from previous guest on wall of shower and sink was beyond tiny . Take the ironing board off back of bathroom door !! . To use fan you have to leave it in wardrobe and open the doors . Tv worked fine but size of iPad . Location amazing and parking next door great . Just be prepared for not much and their will be no surprises.
The Econo Lodge City Central in Auckland is centrally located in a very walkable CBD. The room itself was clean, comfortable, but small. Our typical day is very active so we only need a comfortable bed, not a suite. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions. The hotel is economical and located well in Auckland. We would definitely recommend the Econo Lodge City Central when in Auckland.
Road outside is closed so cannot access by vehicle which caused problems with our pickup and drop off. Aircon in room not working on arrival but was quickly rectified. Buffet breakfast pretty average.

Great location , perfect for a night in city if you just wanting a bed and a shower . Although shower could have had a bit of a better scrub in the corners as there was a bit of soap build up
Great location! Close to dozens of small ethnic restaurants that are reasonably priced on Elliott Street right around the corner. In house buffet breakfast was very good, about 10$USA. Close to sky tower and easy to get transportation to anywhere in town. Rooms are very small, I was solo and it would be hard to imagine a couple using that room., they may have larger rooms I'm not sure. Original room was facing noisy Albert Street, they were happy to switch me to a room on the back of the hotel which was much more quiet the next day. Much better mattress too. Avoid room 715 unless you like sleeping in a hammock, mattress was terrible and needs to be replaced. Room 718 was very good. You get what you pay for here folks. If you need fancy schmansy, go to the crown plaza next door. Basement of crown plaza has giant food court with every kind of ethnic food you can imagine, although mainly Asian. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A good place to crash for a couple nights on your way to someplace else.
Great place to stay for the price. It’s not flash but Super central.. highly recommend paying extra for the queen room ... so much more spacious than the tiny double rooms (although no windows) the air con (even thought it was loud) was much appreciated.
Very reasonable price, good location, you can walk anywhere.
Taxi from airport is quite expensive, 90 NZD.
Toilet seat was showing some droplets, not sure if it was water from cleaning or something else.
Very small room, outdated. Faucet in the bathroom does not have a mixer, you have to choose either hot or cold water.
