Fantastic property. Owners are living among you while you are there, that is how nice it is! Very clean, very friendly, close to many wonderful establishments and not far from the Parthenon. You can see it right there from the property! Thank you to the Thea Acropolis for an amazing stay!!
Loved it. I had more towels than I could need. Everything was within walking distance. They cleaned the room every day. I met the owner, she was a lovely woman, very communicative with great staff. Will visit again and stay at her other hotel the Citizen. Highly recommend. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
This 'hotel' was amazing! I travel very often for work and have stayed in very many hotels over the years, and this is one of my absolute favorites!! It was clean, felt new, great view of the Acropolis, close walk to everything. There were bakeries, shops, restaurants all within 3 mins of the hotel, although it was still relatively quiet on a side street. Housekeeping staff was adorable and the hot tub on the balcony was wonderful, also with a view of the Acropolis.
Honestly, i enjoyed the stay so much i will return privately to stay here and and see more of the city.
Oh, and the towels and housecoats are some of the fluffiest i have ever experienced!!
Great hotel to stay at in Athens. Clear views of the Acropolis, roof top pool, close to restaurants, cafes, and tourist sites. The reception is very welcoming and all communications were clear. We recommend this place to stay at.
Location is good, close to metro, 20 min walk to Acropolis area. Coffee shops, restaurants very close. Building has been totally renovated, everything is almost new. Hot tub is nice. Space is ok for two, storage space could be larger.
Only real complaint I have is that I didn't have the entry code to get in and if the manager hadn't been on site, which is the case on weekends, it might have been an issue. I would stay there again if going to Athens.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
This hotel has misrepresented itself online with Expedia, it is NOT soundproof. It’s in a dismal part of Athens. Not close to anything useful for tourists. The hot tub on the deck was so gross we didn’t dare go in it. The view was non existent until you stood on a chair and had binoculars you could not see the acropolis. We heard everyone coming and go all hours of the night. The last night with an early flight we were serenaded by a very vocal Greek man outside singing as loud as he could u til 5 AM NO ONE ONSITE AFTER ABOUT 8 PM. The three days we spent here ruined a very nice vacation. We were very disappointed with the room, hotel and location.
Our stay was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the staff member at the lobby was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making us feel comfortable right away. The level of hospitality was truly exceptional.
The entire place was spotless and smelled wonderful everywhere, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated all the thoughtful details, including the bathrobes, slippers, and everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Every detail was carefully considered, and the decoration was beautiful, elegant, and inviting.
One of the highlights was the breathtaking view of the Acropolis, which made our stay even more special and unforgettable.
We absolutely loved this accommodation and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting. We would definitely come back again in the future.
We had a wonderful stay at Thea Acropolis! Note that the property is more like a cross between an apartment and a hotel, e.g., you enter with a code provided to you before check in and you communicate with staff primarily through email and text. This wasn’t at all an issue for us, but something to be aware of. Staff was very responsive and helpful, and they arranged a taxi for us at the port. We stayed in a Superior Double room, and it was so comfortable. The room was clean and huge, with an extremely comfortable bed, a convenient kitchenette, and the best-functioning AC I’ve ever found in Europe. The rooftop terrace and pool were so lovely and felt very private, with an amazing view of the Acropolis. The hotel’s location is also great. It’s in a more residential area that doesn’t feel touristy at all, but still offers quick access to the Acropolis etc by metro or walk (5 minute walk to the metro stop, 15-20 minute walk to the Acropolis). I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
My biggest issue with this hotel was the room I was assigned. Upon entering, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. As a non-smoker, I found it extremely unpleasant, and it made it difficult for me to relax and enjoy my stay. At times, I felt like I could barely breathe because the odor was so strong.
And the management kept telling me to open the door and let the air in etc,,, by the time they reached out to me to change the room I was asleep. I even def up waking up very stuff and a nasty headache.
A hotel room should feel clean and comfortable, and unfortunately this room did not meet that standard. If you are sensitive to smoke or have respiratory concerns, I would strongly recommend confirming that your room is completely smoke-free before booking.
