The room was very small and had a noticeable smell of smoke. Some lights were not working, which made the room feel even dimmer. At check‑in, the manager asked for additional money that contradicted the contracted Expedia rate. Location is nice next to tourist places.
Nice place to stay. Love the large balcony. Room was clean, bathroom was clean (with bidet).
Issue: Need to improve on the breakfast! The lady made coffee, look likes tea- tasted horrible.
I would stay again!

Cleanliness, staff, and the hotel itself were all great. If you go further inside about 800m from the hotel, lots of homeless people and druggies I found quite disturbing not knowing the city that well as a tourist.. Breakfast time started at 0815 which was too late for me to join when I have tours booked for around 0730. Otherwise train station is only 3 min away. Lots of places to eat around. Easy to catch taxi.
Smoke filled hotel. Didnot havebasic amenities. Very disappointed and not worth the price paid.
The reception staff were exceptional. One of the ladies manning the measly breakfast area was great. There was another who was so unhelpful
We checked-in hoping to get a room early (around 10AM). It seemed like a hectic time for the one (and only) staff person working the desk, as she handled check outs, a rude guest and a taxi driver. We were delighted to be informed our room was available early, and we could drop off our bags in the room, clean up a bit before getting breakfast from a local diner. Surrounding area (Ierotheou street) is definitely not a place to visit - especially at night. Many local shops, and great places to eat within walking distance- metro conveniently within 1/2 block of hotel. The traffic circle is busy through most of the night, light sleepers may hear the traffic (the room was facing the circle). Morning breakfast here was lacluster, very simple..we had better. Overall, we would stay here again, if needed.
Our 4-nights stay in Meni Hotel has been definitely bad!
We booked a taxi via e-mail and the driver was not there at the airport as promised
The ventilation in our bathroom couldn’t be switched off, we reported the issue to 3 different people at the reception but nobody seemed interested to solve it for us. The noise all night long was annoying during 4 nights.
Breakfast was the worst one we ever had in our life: filter-coffee in a thermos, seemed to drink brown water, there was only cold milk available. Fruits were standing there for 4 days turning brown at the end, orange juice was like vitamin tabs melted in water. Breakfast served only starting from 8.15, it’s too late if you have visits planned in the morning.
Cleaning it’s another topic: towels smelling bad, hairs in the floor for days…
Last but not least an old man part of the staff is always shouting in the hall and in the stairs early in the morning, no need to have an alarm…
The only good thing ? Our beds were very comfortables. The localisation near the metro station is ok but the surroundings are populated by zombies using drugs in the night.
We regret this hotel choice but luckily we spent a great time in Athens.
Do not stay here. The owner of the hotel (as of September 2026) chain smokes all day in the lobby of this hotel. The smell wafts to at least the second floor and goes right into the room at all hours. This is illegal. It is also nasty. He yells at top volume at his staff and his tv blasts at all hours.
Our stay here was amazing. Ismel was so incredibly accommodating and didn’t think twice to help us plan our day trips and dinner cruise. The staff was so welcoming and made sure our room was to our liking.
Extremely bad smoking smell all over the hotel. Despite EU regulations that explicitly ban smoking indoors, there were people constantly smoking at the reception / breakfast area. The smells would even come from the ventilation in the room.
Friendly staff, high standards of cleanliness of room and all areas of hotel. Decor and furniture etc all seem quite new. AC easy to control and very effective. Nice bathroom. Comfortable bed. My balcony looked out onto a small inner courtyard, so no nice view, but on the other hand this meant it was quiet and I could sleep with the window open.
