Gorgeous inn on the Forgotten Coast! Warmly greeted at check in, beautifully appointed room in a historic structure. Nice bar/restaurant on site. Lovely outdoor spaces. Quiet and very walkable!
Great stay!!!! Everything was incredibly clean! Breakfast was under staffed so we had to go elsewhere. That was a bit of a bummer but over all can’t complain. We really enjoyed our stay!
Lovely historic hotel. Felt like stepping back in time. Very friendly, helpful, accommodating staff. Quaint. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Room was clean but very very small. Staff was ok, not entirely welcoming, seemed quite forced and disingenuous. The location was great for walking around town. The staff at the restaurant was wonderful, particularly Tori. She was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and very much a pleasure. The other advertised restaurant/bar by the pool was never open, that was disappointing.
Gibson Inn was a perfect stay in Apalachicola. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The property is well maintained and beautiful. We were very happy with our stay and only wished it was a bit longer to enjoy the beautiful pool and property.
Very friendly staff, helpful, made the experience a good one. Would stay here again but would be sure to buy bottled water. Florida water is a bit tough to drink, in my opinion.
Loved the pool, the walkability of the area where the hotel is located, and the bar/restaurant were very good.
We loved the room! The balcony was great! We stayed in the original building and loved it, but the stairs were a little tight from the second to the third floor. Having an elevator in the newer part was a big plus! It’s very convenient to downtown, so we were able to walk and explore.
Loved my stay at this beautiful historic hotel in Apalachicola. The property is impeccably maintained, full of charm, and beautifully lit at night. There is something special about staying in a place with so much history while still enjoying all the comfort and attention to detail. A wonderful experience from start to finish.
We enjoyed our stay. The room was fantastic. Bed comfy, rooms were very spacious. We enjoyed the bar area at night plus the pool room. The breakfast in the morning was extra, but it was good. People were friendly. It’s nice to stay in a hotel/inn that has been around since 1907. Loved it.
Room was awesome. Requested a room in the original hotel. Huge deck goes around the building on the second floor. Chairs for sitting outside. Pool was spectacular. Loved the low deck areas. Had a couple of lounge chairs in the shallow water. Waterfall was nice. Hot tub was nice, but not as hot as they are in other places. Water in bathroom took forever to get hot, but once it got there. It was hot. Double headed shower was great. Shampoo, conditioner and lotion all wonderful.
great location in the middle of everything we wanted to do - food, shopping, the bay. Easy to walk anywhere. Free bikes were available, but we didn't use them. Room was clean. Bathroom was ok. Not pristine, but clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't use the beautiful outdoor pool but it appeared to be in great condition. Only issue we had was that the hotel was super loud up until about 10pm. We were in the main inn and could hear doors slamming and a dog barking for hours on end. By the time we went to sleep, everything had calmed down but started back up around 7am. I would definitely stay here again, but would note that issue as something that should be addressed (particularly about animals). Slamming doors is an issue in lots of places.
