Highlights: nicely refurbished bedroom, great power shower, friendly and helpful staff, great location on seafront, cosy granny chic vibe in communal areas Would have appreciated a fridge in the room, bathtub for soaking after a long walk, prefer a breakfast buffet with lots of choice, ground floor bedroom hot at night with windows kept closed for security- would ask for upper floors next time.

One nights stay. Shower room was spotless and modern. Toiletries provided were very good. Bedroom was tired in places but bed very comfy. Floors in corridor squeaky so we were woken when people walked by. The communal areas in the hotel were very welcoming. We especially enjoyed the lounge areas with board games and books. Breakfast was tasty but would have liked a buffet. The menu was taken away after our first order.

The only thing I could fault were the veggie sausages which were a frozen abomination - get some decent fresh ones and I would have said our stay was faultless. The staff in particular were lovely and the power shower was fantastic !

Room was small and a bit dated but a large balcony and we were lucky with the sunshine so we did sit out for a while each day. It would be beautiful in the summer ! That said the hotel is lovely, comfortable with lots of lively places to sit and read. The food is excellent - fantastic meal three courses for 33 pounds and well worth it. We would stay again and Aldeburgh is just lovely !!

Just so good

This was our third stay at this exceptional family-owned hotel. And we'll be back again. Everything is just so, with pleasant staff, comfy bedrooms, wonderful served breakfast (including such delights as kippers and finnan haddock), relaxing lounges, and a wonderful setting across the road from a walk along the beach to neighbouring Thorpeness (and Sizewell Power Station). Daily changing menu in the restaurant gives plenty of choice, including veggie options, with everything freshly prepared and beautifully served. The town is unchanging and old-fashioned, including a cinema. The area is beautiful without trying too hard. It's a long way from Leeds, but it's worth the journey.

Great location, beautiful hotel

Fantastic hotel. We had a lovely romantic break, enjoying the hotel and its great location. There are lots of lovely lounges and quiet places to sit and read or enjoy a drink, or enjoy the view from the terrace. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the breakfast was superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Great stay at The Wentworth Hotel

Lovely room…big windows out to the sea on the top floor. Clean, spacious, freshly decorated with a small but perfectly formed en-suite. Comfy large bed with crisp linens. Breakfast was gorgeous…everything was freshly prepared and of high quality….fresh fruit salad was yummy! Freshly made pancakes with maple syrup and crispy bacon was fabulous.
