It also would’ve been nice to know prior to our stay that there was construction going on to build a lift. The stairs are certainly not for the faint hearted. "What a beautiful gem of a boutique hotel nestled on a hill surrounded by nature. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. It was tastefully designed and filled with personal touches such as books and beautiful photographs. The restaurant called The Dutch is superb. The daily breakfast menu was our favourite breakfast on this trip to Sri Lanka. The entire property is exceptional. We can’t wait to return. "

"Everything was great! The only thing I didn't love was the internet connection. It looks like they use 4G cellular modems with data limits instead of a cable or fiber network. I occasionally had to hold Teams meetings for work, and the connection would drop and never get back. However, this seems to be a common issue across Sri Lanka, not just at this hotel. Aside from that, everything else was absolutely perfect, especially the staff and the location!"
