"Part of the national park (heavens gate) is very close (10 mins in car) other parts are further away but that would be the same for any hotel you stay in, the park is vast and has 5 gates so you would choose a gate then a hotel close to that gate. I felt really bad but she was so great. This trip would have been a lot harder to navigate if it wasn’t for her help.
