It was perfect for what we needed, close to the Whangarei hospital. Great sized rooms and very clean for the age of this property. Amenities were all there in the room. We were in the roadside room and it was a little bit noisy but then we do live out in the country! Would definitely stay again. Thank you 🙂

The motel was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Old motel upgraded and comfortable. Nowhere to hang clothes, should this be important. Pleased had electric blanket. Suggestion - check "dodgy" connections at wall and temperature control. Stove had switch not working. Not an issue for me. Good Wifi Would stay again.

If you have business at Whangarei Hospital, the location of this property is perfect, just a 5 min drive down the road. However, the property is very dated, cleanish but in dire need of some TLC. Some of the amenities did not work...eg a wall heater in lounge. The stove in the kitchen needed a really good scrub as did some surfaces.The water pressure is very poor and the temperature of the hot water is minimal. Its shame really because the location is so great.

Older building. Room is spacious but the furniture is quite worn. Some noise from the road next to the building and also from the emergency service helicopters which probably fly to the nearby Whangarei Hospital. Because I was still sitting in the car outside my room after check out, I could see through the open door that my bed had been made again, but the sheets had not been changed. However, I don't want to exclude the possibility of a mistake regarding the length of my stay, despite the very manageable number of rooms...

Lovely hosts, made you feel very welcome and were very obliging in terms of changing our room so we had cooking facilities. Room was clean and comfortable. Happy to recommend. Close to Hospital and City.

Killa Villa

For us, the stay was about being conveniently located to a family function and also other family living close by. We purposefully chose Villa del rio for the pool but unfortunately we didnt get any free time to use it. It looked great. Our host was friendly, informative and that helps when travelling a long way from home.

Person behind the counter was nice enough but was dirty and rough. rooms were dated and had scent bombs to try to make it smell better. The scent was worse than any smell. You get what you pay for and this was cheap.Will not stay again.
