A great stay in a great location

On arrival at our accommodation we were welcomed by Debbie, who straight away made us feel at home. Our room was one of a few tastefully converted in an old farm house, so had character as well as being in a peaceful setting. The room was well appointed with everything we required, tea/coffee, biscuits, cakes & not only the usual TV but a radio as well. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. A lovely big shower with ample hot water in the ensuite. The breakfast was superb, giving us a great start to the day. There was lots of space outside to sit & relax. Debbie & her husband couldn't do enough, giving info of the surrounding area.

Double Gate Farm is ... A Find. Quiet, relaxed and comfortable with excellent attention to detail. In the room we found REAL COFFEE with a Cafetiere, a fridge for our own items should we need it (even some so-called major hotel groups don't provide one). The room was super-clean, airy with huge sliding doors giving onto a terrace and river, field and sky view. With good outdoor furniture to relax in. If privacy from the next-door neighbour is needed, then a screen can be pulled across giving you total solitude. Bliss. The Team here goes the extra mile to make your stay exactlly as you want it to be; breakfast is sensational too with excellent quality eggs, bacon, granola and so on. Super-organised, super-friendly, super-discreet, we loved our long weekend here.

A superb find.

A superb find! Room Spotlessly clean and everything you could possibly want/need. Excellent disabled facilities (accessible bathroom amazing!). Breakfast out of this world. A bit of a tricky place to find but trust your Sat Nav/Google maps and you’ll be fine! Well worth a visit.

Simply PERFECT

We were in an accessible room. Stayed for 2 nights. Simply PERFECT! From even before we arrived we were shown how good the hospitality was likely to be. The room was exactly what you need. Very clean and spacious. The en-suite bathroom was extremely good for accessibility needs. The door swing into or out of the room. Sensory lifting on the mirrors. Drink making facilities in room.

Hidden Gem

A warm welcome greets you. Delicious home made cakes and selection of other nice things to eat from the tea rooms. Breakfast is full of local produce and yummy! Very clean, nice pub next door. Beautiful scenery and if you have river side then the beauty of waking up and sitting outside watching the wildlife with your morning cuppa is rare to find. This is a hidden gem. We had a great stay!

The location of our room overlooking the River was lovely. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room had everything that we needed and more - nothing had been left out or overlooked - even a blanket, bowl and treat for our dog. The only slight down side for us was the lack of a proper grassed area nearby that we could excercise our dog on. I am sure we shall be back at some time in the future.

Rural location about 4 miles from main road. Rooms very spacious and good breakfast. There were extra blankets, which was good. Clean and very nicely decorated.
