This is a no-nonsense establishment with "everything you need and nothing that you don't". The location is within walking distance to a variety of restaurant of several ethnicities (During my stay, I went to a Thai restaurant, an American diner, a Chinese restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant). The room was clean and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The complimentary shuttle van was particularly convenient for both business and entertainment. The experience was all around great.

Good, clean rooms and a satisfying breakfast.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was within walking distance of the Metro and a nice variety of restaurants.The chocolates in the lobby were delicious.

I've stayed at this hotel every year for 8 years. Not the best, certainly not the worst. Could use new carpet in the hallways. But it's clean, the area is awesome, they take care of me and honestly, I've stayed at other hotels for more money and not had a better experience. If it's not a 'special occasion', it works just fine.

I did not get the room I asked for ended up with just on king for four people, lucky for us we had an air mattress with us. When I said something they said that is what ordered, when I had ordered a sweet. They offered on rollaway for free, when I had two kids. The house keeper knocked on our door at 8 am on our last day and tried to use the key to come clean the room. We had the lock thrown thank goodness, but we were all woken up. Then she came again before check out time. Clean place, but there were hiccups

Good sleep stop!

Overall very good and easy but arrived 1:30 in morning and called ahead to notify but still waited 10 minutes for attendant to appear. Only a brief sleep stop on rhe way farther south.

good for the price

OK economy hotel in downtown Bethesda. Great deal for the money: no luxury at all, but the rooms are clean and well appointed (well, except for a lack of sugar and creamer for the coffee) Microwave, coffee maker, and mini refrigerators in each room.

Close to hospital, free rides to and from hotel, staff very accommodating, continental breakfast was good. Staff held our luggage so we could sight see on last day without hauling bags with us.

Absolute opposite of what I expected

I read reviews from many different sites and they were so mixed I was nervous about this hotel. As soon as I walked in the staff made me feel welcomed and were polite and had great customer service. On top of that I get to my room and there was plenty of space and that's the most comfortable and clean bed I have ever slept on. I definitely give this hotel, staff, & accommodations 4 1/2 stars they're worth it! I am coming back for sure.

Loved being there - pretty lobby, nice art on the wall, breakfast buffet was also good. BUT the hotel will be torn down in June. Bethesda needs another high rise I guess.

Bad Experience

I was disappointed that the pictures on the website did not truly represent what the actual hotel looked like. The hotel appeared to be a bit more run down than expected, the elevator could barely hold 3 people, there were stains on the floor of the bathroom, within 2 minutes of taking a shower, I ran out of hot water, and the guest parking lot was difficult to maneuver. The next morning as my son and I were heading downstairs for our complementary breakfast (7:30AM), we were passed by a "Professional Woman" (Street walker) who was staying in room next door. I chose this hotel because the price was nearly 50% off on hotels.com and the pictures looked fantastic. I would never stay at this hotel again. I love hotels.com, just not this hotel!

It’s an older hotel so the elevator was tiny and super slow, the rooms were large but only double beds and the bathroom was tiny. The overall condition is in need of a renovation, patches on walls and ceilings, bathtub spout was falling off...

Friendly, helpful staff. Room clean and comfortable. Halls and exterior moderate. Breakfast area too small...recommend adding another opening to room to give entry and exit for better flow. Since space is limited they could add seating for breakfast by daily conversion of lobby area switching out for tables/chairs and a bar on wall. Price is a bit high.

Good for the price

Short walking distance from metro station; Very nice and friendly staff; In general - convenient; In light of the prices of hotels in downtown Washington - this is a fair price. For the price - this is good. However, the hotel is "aging" and you can see and feel that it is not up to the newer standards of hotels.
