Fabulous hotel. The best of English

One of the nicest hotels I've had the pleasure of staying in. Amazing rooms, fabulous staff and the best breakfast I have ever had. Lovely little touches like fruit in the your room and water for your journey when you check out Gorgeous location on the river.

The Priory - an amazing stay

A historic and interesting property with beautiful interiors and modern appointed facilities. We received a complimentary room upgrade to a suite which was amazing. Superb breakfast service and amazing staff. Loved our stay. Thank you.

A charming oasis yet just minutes from the high st

Oldy worldy and quite delightful. The huge grounds are in tip top condition and an evening stroll down to the river is bewitching. Food and ervice are very good. We definitely hope to stay there again - soon!

Stunning hotel, gardens and riverfront location.

The hotel and gardens are stunning with it’s beautiful riverfront setting. We had the gorgeous Swan suite in the Boathouse with a pretty terrace right on the rivers edge. The staff were very friendly and attentive and we had a delicious dinner and breakfast in the glass fronted restaurant making the most of the view. Thank you to everyone at the hotel, particularly Jeremy, for ensuring we had a very enjoyable stay to celebrate my birthday .

Lovely property, nice room, great location and gardens. Dinner was a real disappointment for the prices charged (£70 set dinner…..and my soufflé wasn’t even properly cooked). Staff were heard arguing when we had pre dinner drinks in the lounge, which was not great, staff seemed very inexperienced. Nice place overall but a lot of room for improvement.

Quick stay before ferry.

Rather small room but ok for purpose. Staff assisted with supper as did not want full meal due to late arrival. Breakfast does not start until 7:30 but that was time we needed to depart so coffee and croissant provided but additional charge for room service! Great setting but no time to enjoy this stay!

Old fashioned splendour and quality service

Very comfortable. Perfect location and great food. The clientele were quiet senior but this didnt detract from the enjoyment. The main dining room was beautiful with lovely views and the staff were very attentive.

This is a delightful old world luxury hotel, set in beautiful gardens by the river. Car parking is limited, but all the shops and amenities of Wareham are close by. It’s important to understand what room you have signed up for. Ours was tiny...fabulous wet room, but no bath, and difficult access.
