Staff was great! Room was clean, but lots of stains on chairs and floor. One of the reasons we chose the facility, was because of the convenience of the on-site bar/restaurant. Something was wrong in the kitchen, so no food was available. Bartender and cook were very apologetic and gave us veggies and pretzels… Odd that there were lots of feral cats hanging out by the river walk door…

The restaurant was closed, the rooms and hallways smelled musty and like mothballs, the mattress wasn’t comfortable and had numerous places that would sink in to the bottom, the sleeper sofa cushions had no support, the drain in the shower didn’t drain well so you felt like you were taking a bath as well as a shower and the rooms needed a LOT of updating. You could see the years of wear and tear in the whole hotel.

When we arrive for our stay, we thought we were the only people staying there. There were very few people around and we chalked it up to being right after the holiday. The minute we walked in the door there was a strong smell of mold or mildew. Once we arrived in our room, we found very old carpet that smell very musty and dingy. I have asthma so it was a very long night for us. The hotel itself is set in a beautiful location! The hotel itself has great bones and you could tell that at one point in time it was extremely nice. If the hotel would get rid of all their carpet, that would be a good start. The hotel smelled very old, very dingy and very dirty, but it was not. It was simply the old carpeting! Had it not been for that? It would’ve been a five star stay!! They had an indoor pool, which I felt like was a contributing factor to the damp, moldy smell.

First room on first smelled terrible. Immediately after entering the room I could smell the mold made it difficult to breath.. the front desk said they were aware of it because of water damage….got a room on the third floor of course the price was higher. Disappointed!
