Nothing glamorous, but clean and practical for a very good price. Heater worked well, TV worked, mini fridge and microwave worked. We would definitely recommend it for cheap lodgings.

A nice and affordable place to stay! It’s always a blessing to find somewhere budget-friendly while traveling. The staff was friendly, the rooms were spacious, and the AC worked perfectly. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Hey great value the bed was extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay there again and we all know it is not a super expensive hotel so keep it all in perspective.

Good motel for the price

It is a no frill motel but the bed was super comfortable, the room was clean, and the staff bent over backwards to help with a key problem.

The property was great for the price. Room was quiet even when the trains would pass behind the old motor inn. Never heard a train whistle until the next day after i checked out and was driving through town.

The manager guy was nice it was a decnt convienent location. But when people. Can just walk into your room twice in the coarse of being there for less then 10hours doesnt make for an enjoyable stay would not reccomend

Lacking towels

The man at the front desk was about as professional as they come. He was ready for me when I walked in the door. Quick and clean. The only issue I had was there weren't any towels or wash clothes in the room.

The staff was great, both times I've stayed there. Flys were bothersome, but I was able to take care of that myself. (Doors must be open for some reason during the day.)It's very inexpensive, but I saw painting and improvements being made.

The Sands doesn't look like much as you pull in, but the rooms have updates and are clean. We have stayed several times, as it's one of the cheapest places in town and is a good value for travelers who don't mind funky/older places. We even like that the train tracks are right out back. When we hear the horn or feel the rumble, we walk out to see/feel the trains blowing through town. For coffee,tea, bevs, snacks and gas, there's a decent Love's literally across the street, and there's a nicer Pilot a half mile away.

I was initially allocated the room away from the reception. I found that the wifi in this room was not good. When I told the staff, they kindly moved me to another room. Honestly, lots of flies in the first room. I spent 1 hour+ killing them (more than 20) but they were still there. Luckily the second room was light and clean. The condition seems to vary from room to room.

When we arrived the parking lot was empty so that was the first worry that I had. The staff was attentive and nice.. unfortunately the bed has hair all over inside the sheets. There is no Outlets to charge anything. The TV is in horrible condition and the channels come in snowy and unwatchable. The only reason why we're saying is because it's the holiday season and really tough to find another room. I would not recommend anybody staying at this location till it's been renovated and updates are made. Also there is no smoke detector it's totally refusinlg. I haven't stayed in the hotel in this part of a condition in many many years I'm very disappointed

Always a good value for the price when we stay here. Faucets and floors a little worn and broken but still working, heater works well, and we were decently comfortable. Never any signs of bugs at all
