Coastel retreat - 2 guests - 5 minute walk to Maidencombe beach. Tranquil 1 bedroom retreat with ensuite walk in shower. Private entrance ensuring complete privacy. Private garden offering serene valley views. Fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. Nestled in between Torquay and Teignmouth, Rosemary Cottage Annex is a one bedroom thatched cottage that's cosy and enormously inviting. This cottage has been renovated specifically as a holiday retreat with everything you need for a great Devon getaway.

The clever open plan layout of this property means that everything is on hand from the cute kitchen, the dining area or watching TV from the two-seater sofa. The master bedroom has a welcoming double bed and offers direct access to an enclosed garden area with a table and chairs that make it a tempting place to pass a couple of hours. This is a fine spot from which to soak up the views under the summer sun.

Parking is on a private drive at the side of the cottage. The cottage also benefits from wi fi for those who cant live without their technology.

A 15 minute short walk away is the highly rated village pub in the centre of one of South Devon's most picturesque villages of Stokeinteignhead, with its thatched cottages and rural atmosphere. Opposite the pub is the volunteer run village shop to enable you to stock up on essential supplies and local produce, or the Thatched Tavern pub at Maidencombe along with the beach, cafe and paddle board hire. There are also many outdoor activities within the area including horse riding, golf and kayaking to name a few.

The cottage is situated in an ideal location, whether you wish to make a short trip to the seaside or make it an active day on the South West Coast Path. You are just a few miles away from the spectacular views and walks on Dartmoor. For those who want some retail therapy you are close to the historic city of Exeter, the market town of Newton Abbot and the famous Torquay English Riviera and harbour.

The cottage was absolutely spotless and in perfect state of repair. Neil was really nice, popped in to see us and make sure we had everythign and messaged to see if we needed anything (which we didn't!) He offered a later checkout which was especially nice. We had a really relaxing stay, lovely walks from the house to Maidencombe beach (very friendly cafe owners and delicious coffe and healthy cookies) and on Dartmoor.

W e just had a few days away to celebrate my wifes 60th birthday. the cottage was excellent ,we just had a lazy weekend and had a excellent meal at the Linny at Coffinswell. We recommend this cottage.

This holiday property is spectacular, the surrounding views are breathtaking. Neil the owner is a charming, friendly host, he has done an exceptional job in transforming this cottage into a modern and homely retreat. Fresh decor, fixtures and fittings. The cottage is spotlessy clean. The location is absolutely perfect, a short commute to Babbacombe, Torquay and Paignton, 10 out of 10.

A little smaller than it looked on booking form, otherwise fine and very clean.Could do with providing bedside lights. had to get out of bed to turn main light off. Also very dark when getting out of bed to use bathroom during the night. Also a little effort on the garden area would be good to make it more attractive to sit in.However enjoyed our stay very much.

Had a lovely stay at the Cosy Thatched cottage .Cottage is beautifully furnished for 2 people lovely kitchen and bathroom and a really comfortable bed .The surroundings are beautiful especially Sheldon a must visit lovely little village .The host Neil was very friendly and helpful and gave us some lovely sausages .Will definitely be returning Colin and Debbie

Perfect for our short stay

We stayed in the Annex for three nights. Neil came to meet us shortly after we arrived to check that everything was OK. He offered us some sausages that he had just collected from the butcher, made from his own pigs which had jest been slaughtered. They were delicious.Our visit was to see Torquay, where my mother grew up, and visit places I remembered from childhood visits.The location is very private yet convenient to everything that we needed.If we ever come this way again, we would love to stay again.

Extremely clean, beautiful location, everything you needed for a perfect stay was there. As a blind person the layout of the cottage was excellent and the walk in shower was fantastic. The outside space had wonderful views of the countryside and it was a pleasure to have breakfast and an evening drink with my husband. Parking no problem and host was very friendly. The only downside was that we didn’t book it for longer. Treat to find the TV and microwave easy to use for us oldies.

Good times

Amazing position, so peaceful but brilliantly located to lots of wonderful places to visit. Maiden Combe beach is a joy and a lovely walk. Excellent for those who, like me, want to swim. Parking space an absolute bonus

Mooie uitvalsbasis

Een compact huisje, met de belangrijkste voorzieningen. Goede bedden. Het (zit)meubilair is wel wat verouderd. Voor ons was het een mooie uitvalsbasis voor verschillende dagtochten.

Great little cottage

Our stay at Rosemary Cottage Annex was very comfortable. The bed was so nice, and the cottage was spotless. Beware the cottage is down a steep lane, but once there the view is well worth it. It would have been nice to have salt and pepper and coffee and tea available, amenities we have had at every other accommodation we stayed at during our tour of the U.K.

Ein Kleinod in einer herrlichen Landschaft.

Wir haben die Tage in diesem kleinen Cottage genossen. Es ist etwas klein aber gerade dies entwickelt auch seinen ganz eigenen Charme. Die Untekunft ist ideal für Tagestouren in Süd Devon oder den östlichen Teil Cornwalls. Perfect retreat!

Perfect property for a couple’s retreat. Ideally located, Torquay, Teignmouth within 15 minutes drive of the property, with Maidencombe beach and pub 5 minutes. Cottage is clean and has everything needed for a holiday. Neil was helpful with a couple of questions pre the holiday and was around if required during our stay. Will definitely look to come back at some point. Richard and Julie.

Stay in Devon

Annexe was very welcoming. Exceptionally clean and well equipped. It would have been nice and useful to have a bedside lamp, then the person near the wall could read, but not have to get out of bed to turn off the main light. Otherwise great stay. Would happily recommend
