WELCOME TO TOOGOOM RETREAT
Situated between Hervey Bay and Burrum Heads, right on the banks of the beautiful Beelbi Creek, the leafy 5 acre hideaway, Toogoom Retreat, is adjoined front and back by State Forest and Marine Reserve.
With its own large jetty, natural boat ramp and direct access to the pristine waters of Hervey Bay and world heritage listed Fraser Island, the property will offer everything you need for your vacation getaway.
Toogoom Retreat is where wildlife abounds and includes sunset visits by dolphins, a huge range of sea and land birds, and fabulous crabbing, prawning, and fishing from your very own jetty. The Beelbi Creek is a tidal waterway, and Toogoom Retreat's natural boat ramp is the perfect place to launch your skiff, dinghy, jet ski, kayak, or paddleboard. For guests with larger boats, the Toogoom Boat Ramp is only 2km down the road.

COME INSIDE
LIVING – The open-plan lounge, dining, and kitchen open out on the large timber deck with BBQ. The deck overlooks the water where you can watch the kiddies in the water or wine & dine while enjoying the amazing sunsets in the afternoon.
KITCHEN – The large kitchen has plenty of storage space, walk-in pantry, wall oven, a cooking island with a 5 burner Glem gas cooktop, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and water views.
LOUNGE– The lounge area has 2 x  2 seater lounges. Television with  local channels and Telstra TV, DVD player with a large range of DVDs available to watch. Netflix is also available for those guests who hold an account.
Main Bathroom – A spacious family bathroom with a shower, sunken bath and separate toilet.
BEDROM 1 – The spacious master queen bedroom has mirrored wardrobes and ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet. The bedroom overlooks the lush tropical gardens.
BEDROOM 2 – This bedroom has a comfy queen bed, built in wardrobe, ceiling fan and overlooks the water with access onto the timber deck.
BEDROOM 3 – The bedroom has a comfy double bed, a chest of drawers, and a ceiling fan. The room overlooks the tropical gardens.
Extra sleeping for children - There are 2 single mattress available for children.
LAUNDRY– The laundry is combined with the garage and has a large front loader washing machine, clothes dryer, an iron, and an ironing board.
ALFRESCO DECK – The large deck overlooking the water is the perfect space to spend your day relaxing and enjoy the spectacular afternoon sunsets.
PETS – Outdoor pets are considered however the property is on 5 acres and only has farm fencing along its boundaries. Please view pictures of the yard to note fencing to see if the yard would be suitable for your pet.

Fantastic Time.

Wonderfull stay, quiet location, perfect for my family and friends to get together. Plenty of space for the kids and the fishing and crabbing was busy enough for them to be interested all the time. Best stay I've had anywhere . 6 Stars.

Great house and location

House was extremely clean and everything was provided. We made use of the jetty and the ramp to launch our boat. Enjoyed the serenity and the views. Will stay again and recommend this house. Our booking agent Klayre was extremely helpful whenever we had questions and always replied promptly even after normal working hours.

A great spot if you’re looking for fishing crabbing boating wildlife. Just an all-round. Amazing spot. Also a very helpful and professional property manager. We very much look forward to coming back here.

Fantastic break away

We were so impressed with the cleanliness and how well appointed this house was. Such a beautiful location and a comfortable place for us, a group of 6 plus our dog. Whether we were outside enjoying nature the picturesque large trees, the wonderful waterways and a little nightime fire, or inside cooking together and playing games or watching movies, we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We did not want to leave! Highly recommend for a stress free getaway.

Lovely and peaceful place close to amentities,alot of rain lately ,so alot of fresh water in the system, but my cousin and I had to have the talk that no fisherman ever wants to have,("I cant eat anymore mudcrabs,what about you,lets pull the crabpots out of the water""ok")read the visitors book about the best place to set your crab pots, Thank you Kleyre,you made it easy for a couple of old tech tards,so easy to deal with and you were contactable,p.s I thought the Google music thing was an electronic photo album, lucky the Cuz's were a bit IT savy,highly recommended ,very relaxing and enjoyable

Family Xmas Gathering

Fantastic house for our growing family to spend time together. Heaps of space to spread out. The house was clean and spacious. There was plenty of linen. The kitchen was also stocked with all the essentials you need to cook for a large crowd. We utilised the fire pit to toast marshmallow’s and a few lines were wet with fishing. Our overseas visitors loved the birdlife, the occasional goanna and the feel of the Australian bush. Our Xmas was everything we hoped for. Would highly recommend this space for any growing family.

The boys caught a heap of crabs and the little boys loved flicking their rods off the jetty. We loved sitting on that big beautiful verandah for afternoon drinks. Great spot to explore Hervey Bay and we evrn travelled up to Elliot Heads and Bargara near Bundaberg for a day trip.House was very clean and Klayre was extremely responsive if we had any questions. Highly recommend, pack high powered bug spray for sand flies.

Such a peaceful location!

We spent a week boating, swimming, kayaking, crabbing and fishing at Toogoom Retreat. Such a vibrant river system. Kids especially loved jetty jumping at high tide. We kept the fire stoked and ate lunch outside under the shady trees. Just bliss. Kylere the property manager was great, she ensured we were contacted and fully informed before check in with all the information when the website went down. It was lovely to meet you Kylere. The house was spotless and lovely and cool upon arrival after a long drive. Everything you need is stocked in the kitchen, there’s plenty of towels and linen. All the amenities to keep the inside house and verandah tidy are all available. Guests should come fully stocked with mossie coils, bug spray and stop itch for the bugs that come out at dawn and dusk. And if you want to spend extended time on the jetty and in the water bring a shade gazebo to tie down. This week was one of our families best holidays yet, just so restful and peaceful, we were all sad having to go back to reality. Looking forward to visiting Toogoom Retreat again.

We successfully used both the jetty and the boat ramp. I had lived at Toogoom for many years and knew what to expect re the tides and sandflies. The only sandflies I felt were at low tide on the water edge. Klayre from Flamingo Realty was outstanding, circumstances necessitated changes in the booking three times in the weeks leading up to our holiday and Klayre was awesome and assisted us after hours and on a Sunday with prompt responses. Recommend this house to everyone and we will be back.
