Ueno Hotel wasnabout a 10 min. Walk to Ueno station, along the way are some good spots to eat like Yoshinoya, and convince store for snacks and Bento Box. The staff was friendly, helpful and spoke english well. I walked around at night and early mornings, even hit some side road and back road and felt safe the whole time.

Just right for day sightseeing base

Perfect for what I needed-just a room to sleep in between sightseeing adventures. Staff very friendly and accommodating-left my luggage for a few hours both before checking in and checking out and retrieved an item I had left in room safe. If I was back in Ueno it would probably be my first choice for convenience and familiarity

Good place to stay. Bathrooms are clean and good. Around 7 minute walk from Iriya Exit at Ueno station. Easily accessible from anywhere and easy to go to everywhere in Tokyo.

Friendly staff and prime location!

My sister and I stayed at Ueno Hotel for 10 days—the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and I had no problem speaking with them in English. The room itself is on the smaller side but we could fit a carry on and two checked in bags in our room with enough space to spare for walking around. One thing that did catch us off guard is that the hallways are open-air, a bit different from hotels in the US but it was not a problem for us. The location is also super prime as it’s close to the station and the park, will definitely be booking a stay here again if I come back to Japan!

The area was very close to Ueno Station and was convenient for traveling. The room was clean and perfect for two people. The staff spoke a bit of english to make the check in process easier. We appreciated them watching our luggage in the case of early arrival. I would recommend!

Ueno hotel has really good staff both at the front on the back of house. They hotel is close to Ueno station and has ample convenience stores nearby. The room is small by western standards but is very clean and usable. I would stay with them again

Budget friendly hotel close to Ueno station, no complaints. We shipped our luggage here and it arrived on time and the hotel held our luggage until we arrived. They also held our luggage after check out since our flight wasn’t until 5pm and checkout was at 11am.
