By day it's just another narrow alleyway common in Tokyo, but at night the street turns into a mini nightlife area for the salarymen of Tokyo. With numerous tiny #bar lining up, the nickname comes from the fact in the past so many drunk salarymen doing their "bussiness" there because there's no toilet anywhere in this alleyway. Today, regulation has been set in the area so it is a lot cleaner than before. The alleyway is very narrow and can only fit at maximum 2 people at a time so be mindful of your surrounding when visiting especially when there's many drunk people walking by from the bars. The bars are also very tiny and can only fit less than 10 people at a time. If you are not claustrophobic give them a try, it's a special experience on its own :)

It was a nice condo with washer and a shower that can close and fully dry clothes (option on the heating control). Location is close to train, grocery stores & restaurants. Room is also equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, sink & kettle. The layout was a bit tricky and tight so we can only open the suitcase in the hallway by the bathroom. I definitely will stay here again.

Great place. More spacious than I expected. Very clean and near a bunch of restaurants, bars, shops, and train station. Could barely hear the train in our room. The staff was very responsive.

The hotel had everything you need (toiletries, pj, kitchen, laundry) . Instructions were clear and organised. Bedroom small but enough for people with only carry on luggage. I really liked our permanency there.

Great hotel, the room was very clean and the location was perfect, right next to the yamanote line! It was small for 3 people, if you brought in mid sized luggage youā€™d probably have to open it on the bed but we canā€™t complain, everything else was amazing. Thank you!

The room is a tight fit, there's no walking room but it's super convenient to stores, 7-11, the train, markets, and there are some lovely neighborhood walks. Be aware that there isn't an elevator (we were at the top of the very narrow 3 floor walk-up) but the room, and the tiny kitchenette is so sweet. The bathroom is great. Wonderful water pressure and the convenience that they not only provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but also toothbrushes and toothpaste and some very cute pjs. I absolutely would return.

Check-in was confusing, support number didnā€™t work. Garbage pile beside the front door that smelt disgusting and the air conditioning smelt like urine. Blood smears in bathroom. Other then that the stay was fine, nice shower and clean beds. Enjoyed the abundance of towels as well as the local grocery and convience stores. Close by to train station aswell.

It's a nice hotel with about a 5-7 minute walk from Takadanobaba Station. 7/11 about 1 minute away. Not a whole lot of dining options close, but still walkable. Check-in was a tad tricky at first, but everything was simple once it was done. Bear in mind, there are 3 good twin beds, but the room is tiny. Like, no place to put your suitcases. We crammed ours between the beds and did a lot of sideways walking in the room. If you can get a good price (hard to do around Shinjuku), then go for it.

This hotel is very difficult to find via Google Maps. I knew this after reading reviews, and still had some challenges finding it. We stood around with all our suitcases until a local who worked in the area noticed us and asked if we were looking for the U-Hotel. Without him, who knows how long before we found it. Some more clear directions/images to help with finding the hotel would be very helpful. We arrived after sunset, so this was more challenging in the dark. To call this a hotel is also a little misleading. There is no front desk, staff or housekeeping. Check in and check out is through a pretty slow tablet. Our room was on the third floor. It is worth noting that there is no elevator in this building. We had five suitcases, this was a bit of a challenge for us. The unit is quite small and typical for Tokyo, but certainly manageable. While no housekeeping, the unit was clean and we were provided with 9 larger towels and 9 face towels which was more than sufficient for our short stay. There is a laundry machine in the room which is nice, although there is no detergent. The location is superb because it is right next to Takadanobaba station, however because of its proximity, you will hear and even feel the rumble of the trains throughout the night.
