Loved the location, size and amenity of rooms and the warm helpful friendliness of the reception staff. Worth sacrificing the sea view for a lovely quiet rear room as the hotel is a pavement’s width from the busy seafront road.
Friendly welcome at check-in, all staff friendly. Clean comfortable room ( twin with sea-view), some noise from traffic on road outside but worth it for view. Good range of food in dining room, good quality & vfm. Breakfast also good choice & quality. Nice comfy beer garden. Very convenient for buses into town, or 15min walk. Highly recommend.
Warm welcome, spacious room, and inclusion of water and toiletries was a nice touch. Room was kept immaculate by cleaning staff and well stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, and biscuits. All areas of the hotel were spotless, the staff always friendly and the bistro sold a good variety of food reasonably priced.
Best breakfast imaginable. The KIPPERS the best ever. We ate out but having tried their lunchtime snacks we wish we had stayed in one night, awesome. I think it's time they dropped shower mats inside the cubicle as the shower trays are dangerously smooth. This aside, we would stay again.
Very nice lady at reception. Charming, old world hotel. Only stairs to upper floor and no air conditioning if that matters to you. I didn’t visit the bar or restaurant. Enjoy.
Clean, Tidy and calmjng area.
However water should be supplied daily not jusy on day of arrival

Great convenience but the road noise is bad. Breakfast at £13 each is payable in addition but is included in the rate if you book direct - be warned as the hotel doesn’t tell you this.
A beautiful place to stay! Staff were excellent and the breakfast included was Great!!! Can't say enough! If we venture back over to Guernsey we will definitely stay here again! :)
Lovely little find and lovely staff - a tiny walk out of town centre but easy and right on the front which was pleasant. Bus stop for north bound exploring island just outside. Breakfast ok - decent selection. On an expensive island - this was a great find and I would recomend it for a decent place to stay and base yourself for exploring this very attractive island

Nice Hotel in poor location.
The Hotel itself was good, Breakfast very good and staff in breakfast room very friendly.
The big problem was the noise of traffic. The Window insulation was non-existent. Unfortunately we had room which faced the sea and the road. The hotel needs to address this problem as the road is very busy all day and a lot of the night.

Holiday in the Channel Islands is not cheap.
This is a fairly basic hotel at a not so basic price.
There is no air-conditioning and it was hot and stuffy in the evenings. Elsewhere, even cheap hotels have good AC units above the door nowadays.
The hotel is also a pub restaurant located about 10 minutes walk to the main town to the ferry terminal. The decor is pleasant but amenities are lacking. I had to ask the front desk on two occasions for toilet paper and for a small bottle of body wash.
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, but the fish and chips was extremely mediocre. If I was told it came ready made from a supermarket and reheated I would believe you.
In summary the rest of the world has moved on and improved but accommodation in provincial Britain has not.
