I stayed with my family at the executive suite. The staff were all very helpful and always willing and eager to help. (e.g. Taking luggage to and from the room the staff insisted to leave it to them which was very nice service , room service to make up beds in the evening were fast and efficient, IT problems with TV quickly rectified, staff left plenty of water bottles when visiting the room without being asked). The beds were comfortable and the room AC excellent at controlling room temperature. The hotel was modern well kept and clean. We tried the resturant in the evening and found the food to be well prepared to a good standard and tasty. Location great on the Mall Road allowing an easy walk to the ridge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (shame only for one night) at the Marina and we would definitely consider booking again and recommending to others.

Had booked a suit which we found didn’t have any view or fresh air or light then they shifted us to a downgraded room but no adjustment for the higher money paid for the suit. Nice stay

Trip was amazing. Hotel was great. Smoky air was an issue. Not sure if it was the hotel or the location, but I didn't have as much of an issue with the smoke at the other places I stayed. Probably not an issue during other times of the year though. I stayed during the winter when the smoky air is known to be worse.

Well located at quiet end of The Mall and with a beautiful view, thoughtful welcome fruit and chocolates and free upgrade. Bathroom was even better than marriott which I thought would be hard to beat.

At the tip of THE MALL. Convenient!

Yes it's quite a walk to the ridge but at least you have the comfort of parking your car at the facility. Most hotels located at the mall do not have parking as cars are strictly restricted in that area. The food the exemplary!!! I tried almost everything from their menu, blueberry pancakes and waffles, chicken lasagna and Indian cuisine. It's just out of the world, the quantity is good and the food quality is awesome. In room dining takes just a few minutes. The only thing I did not like was that on the last day of our stay during the middle of the night I could hear the tv from next door. It was so loud and clear that I could even tell what they were watching. I wanted to call the front desk to complain but I refrained and waited, it was my last night there and I am a slight sleeper anyway. The balcony had a wonderful view!! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

luxury hotel with noisy wedding hall

We stayed two nights: Rooms are luxury and comfortable but you can't stay in because of loud music and strong bass tones from the wedding hall till 11:00 pm. I describe it as wedding hall with expensive rooms

Front desk staff was rude. I called on our last day about 5 times without an answer as we needed to have a porter bring our luggage out. When I came up to the desk, there was 1 staff member there and he was on a personal call. He took his time getting off the phone and when I said that I did not get answer from front desk, he said it was 'impossible'. Bathroom shower also had a leak... Restaurant staff was very good. The hotel also ripped us off by charging extra occupancy rate for a child after our credit card info was put and the extra charge was not disclosed prior to the payment.

Excellent Location, clean moden rooms

Marina is location at one end of the mall road - hence, excellent location. Its a new hotel, so rooms are clean and modern. Food was good too. What can be improved - heating inside the rooms, staff is couteous but their responsiveness can definitely be improved

the most value for money choice at mall road shimla without a doubt with a hint of luxury and good food. 2 year old property. entry and exit to the property in a car is an issue. very close to mall road 5 min walk.
