Beautiful property in a beautiful location. The view was incredible, and the restaurant downstairs was wonderful. My son (11) and I stayed one night as we passed through the region and it was a perfect place.

My name is Stephane from Montreal (Canada). I chose La Grande Maison based on the advice of a Swiss friend, not really sure what to expect. I was completely caught by surprise, what an amazing Hotel B&B! My room was impeccable and the views were stunning! The staff was warm and kind, always inquiring about my well being. I had dinner at the in-house restaurant on both nights, the food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Situated in a quiet little town, it was an ideal spot for restful nights. The drive to get there was scenic, a zigzag through narrow roads and wine yards was really fun. I had a wonderful time 5/5.

The hotel needs some general maintenance and cleaning to bring it back into shape. When the staff is there, they are very friendly but it is largely un attended. The hotel is very quaint and has a lot of picturesque places. Great breakfast and fun breakfast host.

Maison d’hôtes et non un hôtel 4.5 étoiles

Vendu comme un 4.5 étoiles, c’est une maison d’hôtes sans réception ni service. La « suite» est spartiate et le matin on est rapidement réveillé soit par le soleil qui entre malgré les rideaux ou par le bruit des pas de la salle de petit déjeuner. Petit déjeuner d’ailleurs en self service

A 2 pas des Ponts suspendus de Savièse et excellent petit déjeuner ! Salle de bain vraiment trop petite pour être à 3 et restaurant avec terrasse directement sous la fenêtre de la chambre alors que nous avions choisi cette destination pour le calme de la montagne suisse.

Wunderschön

Die Lage des Hotels oberhalb Sion ist herrlich. Das Hotel ist einfach sympathisch und gemütlich. Im Restaurant ist man fein.

Very disappointing for that price...

Staff not very welcoming, besides the person at breakfast. Breakfast very disappointing, the worst we had in Switzerland, with a dry croissant and no yogurt... Room had a nice view but small and noisy: you hear the restaurant below and all the other rooms around... disappointing

Ideal für ein Weekendtrip

Das Bett war sehr bequem und der Bereich mit Dusche/WC ist sehr gut gelöst, selten habe ich so eine funktioniere Anordnung gesehen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und das Frühstückszimmer ist sehr schön und die Aussicht ist umwerfend. Unser Zimmer war auf der Strassenseite und gleich beim Eingang ins Hotel und es war relativ laut wegen Strassenlärm und Leuten auf der Terrasse, aber uns hat es nicht allzu sehr gestört.

Preisgefüge

Zimmer mit Mini-Waschbecken ist für 4-Stern Hotel zu klein. Grundsätzlich erfüllt das Hotel die Kriterien gemäss Hotelklassifikation aus unserer Sicht nicht. Frühstückbuffet ist spartanisch, ausser man ist auf Konfi fixiert. 3 Min. Ei abschrecken unbekannt. Im Restaurant ist Kellner der König. Nur ein Menu „Surprise“, was eine gefüllte Krokette als Vorspeise, ein Stück Fleisch (ca. 100gr) mit je einem Esslöffel Stock und Rüebli-Mouse sowie einem Mini-Mangold Gratin war. Extrem teuer im Verhältnis zum Gebotenen. Ein „Suplément“ gab es nicht. Wir haben später an einem anderen Ort noch etwas gegessen. Für uns war es der Aufenthalt eher enttäuschend.

Tolles kleines boutique Hotel hoch über den Talboden mit sensationeller Aussicht. Schöner Restaurant-Garten. Das SEHR late Hause wurde mit viel Liebe und Stil renoviert und der Charakter blieb erhalten. Ein Traum!!! Compliment!!!

Heimelig - ausser wenn Events stattfinden...

Die Grande Maison bietet ein bequemes Nest mit individuellen und schön renovierten Zimmern, die die alte Baustruktur ehren. Das kleine Frühstück-Buffet war sehr lecker - frisches Brot, riesige Croissants, und eine leckere Sandteig-Apfelweihe machen für einen guten Start in den neuen Tag. Für uns gab es allerdings ein grosses "Aber...", neben den höflichen jedoch unpersönlichen Kontakten mit dem Besitzer: An dem Abend fand im Restaurant ein Event statt. Die laute Party-Gruppe löste sich zwischen 3:15 und 4:00 auf - davor konnten wir leider kein Auge schliessen. Daher empfiehlt es sich, die Webseite des Hotels vor der Buchung zu prüfen - oder direkt anzufragen, ob eine Hochzeit an dem Tag geplant ist. Wenn es nicht der Fall ist, wird Ihr Aufenthalt bestimmt schön sein!
