Ok hotel for one night stay!

Booked the larger room (duplex type). Cleaning was not done. Difficult to heat the room. Breakfast (although a la carte) was very good. No parking underground. Parking directly in the street.

Good location in downtown Ruse. Nice, we’ll-furnished and clean rooms. The staff was generally helpful and courteous. However, the property is aging and not as well maintained as I had hoped. In the height of summer, the air conditioning was not adjustable and the room was hot. Lastly, there was no dedicated parking, despite the hotel advertising “parking included” in the reservation.

When we arrived they tried to give us the incorrect room type. Then they tried to get me to pay for a reservation rhat was prepaid through Expedia. Next I found out that I had to pay for the free on premises parking. Their version of on premises parking is parking in the street. A bit of a bait and switch and great deal of dishonesty. I did pay for the garage parking they claimed was full, but miraculously found a spot. Then we sort of got the room we reserved, but it was lacking the kitchen that was pictured. The excuse was the room I reserved was being renovated. No apology or anything. If all that is not bad enough, the room was an inferno. It was like staying in POW camp. The upstairs A/C unit did not work at all. The breakfast buffet was very basic and had cold food every morning. The breakfast staff was very unpleasant. The lone bright spot was the restaurant was excellent for lunch and dinner. The food was terrific and the staff was super sweet. My advice is do not stay at this property, but stop by for lunch or dinner.

My Room was 80 degrees turned on air conditioner for few hours cam back nothing changed. Told front desk again came back again few hours later they told me they fixed it. went into room still 80 degrees they put in my room a loud cheap fan to blow hot air. I went back they told me to open my balcony door found different hotel and left.

The hotel is in a great location on the back of the main walking strip in Russe - Aleksanrovska Blvd and across the street from a small well manicured park with a kids playground and plenty of benches one can sit and enjoy the beautiful greenery and flowers. The suites are a good size with living room, separate bedroom in the loft space and 2 bathrooms. The air conditioning in the rooms worked well but the common areas of the hotel were not air conditioned and felt stuffy. The breakfast buffet was OK - limited fruit options, some cold cuts and a couple of hot foods- scrambled eggs, bacon and something else. My daughter enjoyed the French toast but it was only available on 1 of the 3 mornings we were there.

I understand that options in Ruse are limited, but I promise any other accommodation will be better than Cosmopolitan. We booked a suite and it was 27 degrees Celsius in the room when we got there. The AC did not work well enough to cool the room the whole stay. We slept on couches next to the windows because the rest of the suite was too hot. We ordered wine from room service and it was never delivered. After an hour I went down to the bar and the “bartender”(who was wearing gym shorts and a t-shirt) gave me only the bottle of wine. I had to use the bar key on the bar to open it myself, as well and get wine glasses to take back to the room. The room was large and impressive, but filthy. The carpet had stains all over. The windows were covered in dirt and cobwebs. When we moved the couch to the windows we found it disgusting underneath. Breakfast was a joke. There were cold, runny eggs and hot dogs, which was the only “hot” option. The vegetables were dried out. The wifi was the only impressive thing about this hotel.

4 étoiles ???

Nous avions choisi cet hotel, aux tarifs élevés pour la Bulgarie, pour 2 raisons. Tout d'abord pour ses 2 piscines : or la piscine intérieure était fermée et pour celle en extérieur, les cours donnés aux enfants de la ville se succèdent toute la journée jusque tardivement, ce qui la rend inutilisable pour les clients de l'hôtel... Et quand la voie est enfin libre, la couleur de l'eau est si jaunâtre que l'envie vous passe d'y mettre un pied. Les nombreuses fontaines de la ville sont d'ailleurs bien plus propres... La 2e raison est que nous avons choisi un appartement pour son coin cuisine. Or, rien de cela, et l'hôtesse à l'accueil (très froide, qui ne répond meme pas aux salutations) vous explique qu'elle n'y peut rien. Globalement, nous ne nous sommes pas sentis les bienvenus mais il est dommage que les employés, bien peu aimables, oublient que c'est un peu grâce aux clients qu'ils ont un emploi. Du reste, le centre ville est très agréable et ses musées sont intéressants. Bref, d’autres hôtels de la ville semblent avoir un bien meilleur rapport qualité prix, évitez donc celui-ci.

Bra hotell

Härligt hotell med fri förbindelse med gym och pool vilket är ett stort plus. Frukosten buffén var bra med en god blandning av saker att välja på. Trevlig personal. De flesta duktiga på engelska vilket är ett plus när man inte kan de inhemska språket. Fräscha rum med skön heltäckningsmatta.

The room was spacious and cozy, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were helpful. Overall we had a great experience. We would stay here again if we come to Russe.
