Gentle waves on the shore...

We decided to upgrade our room for one with a sea view. It was well worth it. The sounds of the lapping waves was so relaxing and there's so much to see from the balcony. Hotel is in a perfect position and the parking was easy. A huge selection of food for the breakfast. Even though there were a lot of other guests, the dining room never felt crowded. Roses is one of our favourite resorts and we will definitely be back.

Cheap and cheerful. Nice location along beachfront , walkable to food options and main central area of roses. Aircon not very good, so room was very warm. Breakfast buffet average but did the job.

Relaxed and comfortable, best of both with pool and beachfront. Did change rooms as they hadn't put us in correct room that i booked with correct beds. That took a most of next day to sort out. But very beautiful and helpful staff generally.

A lovely old hotel right on the beach; was so nice! The staff was helpful, although they did not give us the proper location for the bus station which was a bit frustrating. They did separate our double twin beds for us open request. We thought we ordered a room with two beds and it was but the beds were pushed together with one sheet. They separated upon request. Beautiful water view!

First things, first. The staff was WONDERFUL. I have been told that the hotel will undergo a major renovation next winter...I hope so. But the main reason why we did not enjoy our stay was the noise. Its old construction but...the walls are very thin, the room which had a view of the sea, has a bar area directly below and immediately next to the bar there is a promenade, where millions of people walk by 24 hours a day. Not again, for us.

The only positive aspect of the hotel is the location by the beach. Check-in was extremely slow. Hotel asked me to sign a tax form that they claimed was standard in Catalonia (we stayed in 5 different hotels in the region, and the other 4 never asked for this), which seems like a scam. The A/C never worked in the middle of a heat wave in a beach town. Hotel was noisy.

The hotel is in a perfect location and it is worth paying a little extra for a room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Unfortunately the paintwork was in very poor state and the room needed a makeover as it looked tired. My king size bed was actually two singles pushed together so there was an uncomfortable ridge down the centre. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast and dinner on offer were both buffets. The first morning none of the supposedly hot food was in fact hot, not even warm, and the dinner buffet was the same. I only ate there one evening. In spite of the above I enjoyed the stay due to location and staff and would stay again.

The hotel has a great position on the beach next to the promenade. Room size is good but the bathroom could do with a makeover, a shower rather than the bath would make better use of the space.

Thé hôtel was right in front of the beach , so perfect location. Bed was comfortable but had a few issues with bedside lamps above our heads!!! The bathroom was old fashioned but clean and worked. In all we had a good stay

Change of room

The first night our room had no air conditioning and it had been 38 during the day. Went to reception in the morning, afternoon and evening to get it sorted. In the end asked for a different room. Receptionist Monica was very helpful and Bridget from the bar translating after a time a room found and we had a very restful night's sleep. Overall very clean, good breakfast and great location. Would definitely stay there again.

Got a different room from what I paid

I booked with hotels.com and it was for two twin beds with front ocean view. They gave me and interior very small room with a queen bed. They said they did not have any other room available. The hotel is nice but it is very unpleasant and unprofessional to book a room and to get something completely different.

Hotels.com error, hotel staff slow & unhelpful.

Through hotels.com we booked one room for three people with a king size bed, and two twin beds. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that our reservation was actually for two people (not three), and the room with three beds that we reserved apparently did not exist. Hotel staff were difficult and extremely slow to get us into a single room, even after we paid extra at reception for the additional guest which apparently had not been registered on hotels.com.

L’hôtel se situe face a la mer. Juste à traverser pour la plage La ville est à proximité. Parfait pour aller faire les balades au centre-ville. Dans cet hôtel, quand vous réservez une chambre avec fenêtre, la vue donne sur un mur à 1 mètre devant ! donc pas de lumière naturelle - un seul rideau occultant déchiré en haut - carrelage cassé devant l'armoire - chaise cassée, pas de porte à placard, 1 seule prise électrique dans la salle de bain qui n'était pas scellée : résultat, quand j'ai retiré ma prise de téléphone, plus d'électricité et pas d'électricité dans la salle de bain pendant 2 jours (réclamations faites régulièrement !) - le rabat pour le papier WC était "immonde" (traces qui n'ont jamais été nettoyé malgré le fait que je soulevais tous les jour ce rabat) - la piscine : 10 degrés max et dégoutante (l'eau ne doit pas être filtrée) - la demie pension : un buffet à peine semblable à une cantine - bref... JAMAIS PLUS et in recommandable - c'est la première fois que je fais des vidéos TikTok pour dénoncer ce genre de chose
